WV COSA Surge February 17

One of our goals, this session, is to encourage our state legislators to pass the Faithful Delegates Act.

Please join our COSA team for our WV Surge in Charleston. Come, meet your state legislators. We encourage you to discuss other efforts with your legislator to discuss the common ground you share.

Our State joined the passed states in 2022, when our Resolution, HCR 31, breezed through both houses in a single morning! Our goal this year is to encourage our state legislators to pass the Faithful Delegates Act, introduced in 2023 by the Senate and passed over to the House, where it died in committee.

Here are some useful tips for your visit:

· We are meeting in the Rotunda area, 2nd floor, at 10 AM, here is the map to the Capitol facilities(2019) and parking areas. Our COSA Table will be set up in this area.

· Since February 17th is a holiday, parking should be free, however, bring plenty of quarters, in case it is not. There is more parking in Laidley Field parking, the walk is not far; there is shuttle service, but it is not always available.

· The Capitol Cafeteria is available for meals, snacks and drinks. It is not open all day but does serve during lunch hours.

· Wear comfortable clothes, wear layers and supportive walking shoes, the marble/tile floors of the Capitol are extremely hard.

We will pass out the Legislative folders, put together by our COS WV Team, to provide our legislators with several pieces of education materials and a list of the local constituents who have signed the petition in support of our Article V efforts.
