Why the Convention of States is Elegant
It's a simple three-step process.
| Here's a good word to describe the Convention of States strategy: elegant. It is a simple, powerful 3-step process that the federal government has no defense against. - We the People convince our states to call for a Convention. - The states hold the convention and propose amendments. - The proposals are either ratified by the states or not. Three topic areas of debate: - Term limits - Fiscal responsibility - Ending government overreach Simple. Powerful. Constitutional. And supported by several Supreme Court rulings. A simple process doesn’t mean that it’s quick and easy to do, of course, but it is a necessary step if we intend to keep on living in a free nation and pass that on to posterity. Article V is constructed in threes and so is nature. Coincidence? Here are the court rulings mentioned above. |
