What is Advocacy Day?

Some states call it Surge Day. In Louisiana, we call it Advocacy Day. I’m sure you are wondering, “What is Advocacy Day?” It’s the day when the Louisiana Convention of States team meets at the Capitol Building Rotunda in Baton Rouge. We set up our tables between the House chamber and the Senate chamber.

We are meeting at 10 am in the Capitol Rotunda to set up the tables. The day is Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

The tables have COS information, candy snacks, and COS handouts. The event is open to the public, and we can discuss COS and Article V. It is also the day we welcome our state representatives and senators and thank them for their service.

We want to educate the incoming new legislators about Article V. We give all our legislators gift bags with goodies. The bags contain snacks and informational material about the Convention of States movement.

We also distribute COS information to citizens who stop by our tables. The visitors can learn about the peaceful solution to government overreach.

It is a day of fun getting together with our team and meeting the visitors and legislators. Please make every effort to attend. You will enjoy the event.
