WATCH: Ohio rallies for a Convention of States
It was a great day in the Buckeye State!
| Convention of States supporters from around Ohio descended on the Capitol last week to demonstrate their support for the Convention of States resolution. One hundred supporters were treated to moving speeches by House and Senate sponsors, Youth for Convention of States reps, and our very own Mark Meckler. The theme of the speeches was how critical the grassroots were to being successful in Ohio. Our sponsors acknowledged that it is the faces and names of the people in their districts that make the difference. They complimented the crowd for their willingness to be self-governing citizens and to take the time to promote Convention of States. As usual, Mark provided a stirring speech that gave the “troops” the courage and energy to partake in the second portion of the day, which was the surge. District Captains, volunteers, and state leadership met with over 25 legislators that afternoon. Valuable insights were gleaned and relationships started during these meetings.
