The serious writer sweats at the forge of his imagination while hammering out sentences on the anvil of language, and so on.” — Amor Towles Pixar’s 2004 film The Incredibles featured the line, “When everyone’s super, no one will be.” Sometimes, it can feel that way with artificial intelligence. As AI-generated prose becomes more common, writers will want to know: “How can I make my writing stand out?” Writing well is an invaluable skill to possess, and we all have room to grow. That’s why we’re thrilled to invite you to The Writers’ Desk — a semi-monthly hang-out and training webinar for COS writers. It provides space for State Content Writers (SCWs) and other aspiring writers within COS to learn from qualified guests, encourage one another, and refine their craft.
