The Weaponization of Words Will Destroy This Country

Now for instance we are seeing some who are voicing their opposition to the ICE raids with increasingly shrill rhetoric. We are also witnessing in the streets masses of people surrounding ICE agents and actually pushing & shoving them when they are trying to do their job.

You have to ask yourself who is inciting these people? How do huge masses of people get so boldly aggressive and motivated enough to attack law enforcement that are in the process of carrying out their lawfully charged duty?

Peacefully protesting, voicing your grievances, marching for civil rights, even violently fighting for our right to be free… All these activities and more are what our country was founded upon. It was forged from raw tenacious opposition to the authoritarianism that was intent on keeping our physical and spiritual existence subjugated for eternity if it could.

Breaking away from tyrants and creating the freest, most opportunistic country in history is in our DNA. Without our fight for liberty some 250 years ago, the whole world, I believe, would be a very dark place indeed.

Now, for instance, we are seeing some who are voicing their opposition to the ICE raids with increasingly shrill rhetoric. We are also witnessing in the streets masses of people surrounding ICE agents and actually pushing & shoving and in some cases very violently attacking them when they are trying to do their job.

You have to ask yourself: Who is inciting these people? How do huge masses of people get so boldly aggressive and motivated enough to attack law enforcement that are in the process of carrying out their lawfully charged duty?

“No ICE, no KKK, no facist USA!” is what one rally was chanting. They are maliciously conflating ICE and the KKK to paint ICE as being the same terroristic, violent group that imposed acts of intimidation to oppress their victims. This chant was not just thought of randomly or haphazardly last minute. It was a well thought out psychological trigger to compel mindless believers to take violent action - unfortunately, it's working.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that “when one of these things comes to your backyard, you can resist.” You can resist over millions of people, and when that happens, you will generate enough friction that they cannot go as fast as they want to go.”

Governor Pritzker: “They’re raiding neighborhoods where, instead of going after the bad guys, they’re just picking up people who are brown and black and checking their credentials; are you a U.S. citizen?” he stated.

He also told constituents to “Fight ICE- Calls For 'Mass Protests, Mobilization, & Disruption.'“

“The people who serve for the president, including all the way down to ICE agents, can be held accountable when there’s a change of administration that’s willing to hold them accountable when they break the law,” Pritzker said.

He continued: “So, all these people need to recognize that you may have immunity because Donald Trump’s willing to pardon anybody that’s carrying out his unlawful orders, but you’re not going to have it under another administration.”

Gov Pritzker and AOC are elected representatives who are being gravely reckless with their rhetoric.

Ex-CNN host Don Lemon suggested black and brown Americans “of all stripes” should legally arm themselves in case Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents show up at their doors.

Concerning the threats that President Trump imposes is Robert De Niro (whom I believe has a genuine case of TDS and is delusional), a high-profile figure who influences a lot of people when he speaks. His rhetoric concerning ICE agents lately is adding to the aggression towards them when they are only exercising their lawfully charged duty to apprehend criminals for deportation.

Now, let me interject here and say that if any ICE agent or officer of the law is not following the law and doing something they're not supposed to, then, by all means, they should be held accountable like any other citizen would be. But that’s not what’s going on here.

These are only a handful of many examples of the hyperbolic rhetoric to illicit a violent reaction. We have a rogue media echo chamber that is weaponizing the rhetoric, bringing it to a fever pitch in order to push an agenda.

Do these people just not realize the harm they are causing when they say these things? They are either willing accomplices or may just be ignorant in that they seemingly don’t see the bigger picture; instead are kept compartmentalized and directed to do certain things or inspired with monetary motivation, but regardless, it’s always part of a bigger agenda, a long-term coup if you will.

What is currently happening with the whole ‘No Kings’ movement? It is just one of the latest maneuvers to take control of this country by using Marxist tactics. The battle is ongoing and endless to keep our freedoms intact.

I believe a lot of these people are unwitting agitators, and they know not what they do. But there are certainly those who know exactly what they are doing and are more than happy to foment the chaos as a means to an end. Either way, their words are inflicting deep wounds on our Republic.

Regardless of the motivation, their actions are making our everyday lives more and more dangerous and fracturing the very foundation that our great country is resting upon.

The best way to combat this growing plague of weaponized rhetoric is to take action with the truth wherever you live. Speak up - make your voice heard.

What does any of this have to do with the Convention of States movement, and how can we effect change through COS to combat this growing, dangerous trend?

Our objective is to bring the federal government under control by imposing fiscal restraints, limiting its power and jurisdiction, and imposing term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

So that’s at the federal level, but we as individuals reside in one of the 50 states, in a county in which a city or town is located. The fight is where we are. We can and should effect change by volunteering, speaking at city council or school board meetings, or getting into office locally; running for city council, mayor, school board, at your local library, heck, even dog catcher. I’m being a bit facetious with dog catcher, but not really.

Any place in your local community that works with the public is not only a great place to instill constitutionally minded values in general, but what better way to spread the word about Convention of States, too.

You may have noticed that there are many things completely upside down throughout our country, from criminals getting off with a slap on the wrist for heinous crimes, to illegal aliens receiving benefits not available to American citizens, to rampant voting fraud that unfairly sways elections, even at the local level.

The adage “all politics is local” signifies that the most powerful motivators for voters are issues directly affecting their daily lives, their immediate communities, and their surroundings. Getting a handle on our local politics will have a profound effect on everything, all the way up to the federal level.

Remember that when our Convention of States' objectives are finally reached, the real work actually begins and will take an ongoing engaged citizenry to hold our officials accountable to do work for and serve 'we the people.'

The founders intended for us to be vigilant stewards of our rights in order to keep this Republic that they fought so hard to establish, and gave their Lives, their Fortunes, and sacred Honor to ensure.

Take action, get involved.
