The Peach State Patriot Volume 2 Issue 4
| THE PEACH STATE PATRIOT A SEMI-MONTHLY EMAIL NEWSLETTER —- | FEBRUARY 15, 2022 | VOLUME 2 - ISSUE 4 | |||||||||
—- | ![]() Region 1 is located in the southeastern corner of Georgia. It covers, all or part of, 18 counties spanning from the northwestern corner of Montgomery County to the southeastern corner of Camden County. Don Gardner is the COS Region Captain. He is heading up and constantly recruiting a team of District Captains to hold Town Hall meetings throughout this large and diverse geographic area. Don, with the help of his wife Ana, is using the Town Halls to attract new people to COS; keep those that are already engaged informed and active; and to identify new, needed leadership. He has started holding Town Hall Meetings in local restaurants in the larger towns that need District Captains. If you are located in Region 1 and ready to help rein in federal power, impose fiscal restraints on Congress, and limit the terms of office for federal officials, please reach out to Don today. He would love to tell you more about COS, Article V of the Constitution, and answer any questions you have. ![]() There are 12 regions in Georgia. Each region has a similar organization of District Captains. Each region also has a similar, major, grassroots effort underway. In February alone, the Georgia team will hold 16 town hall meetings throughout the state. And, we're just getting started. You can find a town hall near you by following us on Facebook and bookmarking our webpage calendar of events. If you don’t see an event near you, Contact Tony Moore. Tony is our State Grassroots Coordinator for all of Georgia and he would love to help you. We hope to see you soon at one of our meetings. _______________________________________________________________ ![]() _______________________________________________________________ ===== Violation of the First Amendment by Censorship? ===== The First Amendment protects speech, religion, press, assembly, and the right to protest the government. On January 23, 2022, protests against the vaccine mandates and vaccine passports were held in Washington D.C. This was a significant event for our nation and yet, there was no media coverage on any of the major news stations before, during, or after the event. The major social media sites most people use also bans people, conversation, and posts that are negative towards the vaccine, mandates, the CDC, etc., calling such conversations “misinformation.” A person cannot even post adverse side effects from the Covid Vaccine in the hope that it might help someone else. The video below talks about the media taking instruction from the federal government, to decide what speech stays and what doesn’t. The video goes on to say that if that’s the case, then the media should be bound by the 1st Amendment when they do the bidding of the government. U.S. government accused of using social media to censor Americans Below are several short clips of speeches given at the Washington D.C. protest on January 23, 2022. These speeches were given by doctors and other professionals fighting to be allowed to do what they knew could help people. These speeches were not allowed on the one major social media site most people use and the major news media didn’t cover it. Hopefully, these speeches won’t be censored as well. All US citizens regardless of race, religion, sex, political party, etc. are entitled to their rights and freedoms. Become involved in the Convention of States to more effectively oppose government overreach and abuse. Every effort big or small makes a difference. Lance just published this great article on February 8th, and it immediately earned national attention by COS Headquarters. Kudos to Lance! Read the full article here. We know you'll enjoy it and find it very informative. ________________________________________________________________ ===== February Remaining Events ===== * February 15th, Hinesville COS Town Hall Meeting, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm * Details * Contact Don Gardner * February 17th, Jesup COS Town Hall Meeting, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm * Details * Contact Don Gardner * February 21st, Cartersville COS Town Hall Meeting, 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm * Details * Contact Jo'El Lapp * February 22nd, Kingsland COS Town Hall Meeting, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm * Details * Contact Don Gardner * February 23rd, Savannah - Wilmington Island COS Town Hall Meeting, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm * Details * Contact Wolfgang Ziegler * February 24th, Claxton COs Town Hall Meeting, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm * Details * Contact Don Gardner * February 26th, Evans COS Town Hall Meeting, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. * Contact Joey Gibson * February 26th, Ellijay COS Town Hall Meeting, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm * Details * Contact David Parente * February 26th, Valdosta COS Town Hall Meeting, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm * Contact Rob Rodman _______________________________________________________________ ===== Words of Wisdom ===== “If freedom is to survive and prosper, it will require the sacrifice, the effort and the thoughtful attention of every citizen.” - John F.
