THE ILLUSION OF LIBERTY - PART 2
| ====== Propaganda: The War Against a Democratic Republic ====== In 1886, the Frenchman Gustave Le Bon published his book The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind. Le Bon's book is a blueprint of effective techniques for swaying the opinion of the masses without the use of reason, logic, or facts. His book is still in print today. Soon after his book was published, it received a wide readership from western elites such as Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, Edward Bernays, Theodore Roosevelt, Charles Dawes, and many others. The Crowd awakened a revolution in governance (1). In her book One Idea to Rule Them All, Michelle Stiles lists seven techniques of Propaganda: (Italics are my addendum) 1. Name Calling: A device to discredit an opponent without refuting his claim. (JBS is using this technique to discredit COS). 2. Glittering Generalities: A device that identifies a position with “virtue” by use of words like truth, freedom, democracy, liberty, etc. (Most politicians.) 3. Transfer: An appeal which seeks to carry over the authority, sanction, or prestige of something we respect. (Use of a sports figures, actor sor even a politicians.) 4. Testimonial: A device to use the opinion of an expert authority for propaganda purposes (Use of Dr. Anthony Fauci during Covid 19). 5. Plain Folks: An appeal to win confidence by appearing to be like the common people being addressed (Almost any politician during a campaign). 6. Card Stacking: An appeal that uses under-emphasis or over-emphasis to dodge issues and evade facts. (Almost anyone in government authority). 7. Band Wagon: An appeal that encourages us to follow the crowd because “Everyone is doing it.” (Seen in many advertisements for products.) (2) If I may be so bold, I would add one additional technique to the list: Fear. Fear is a great motivator, and it replaces rational thought in most people. Our desire is to feel safe, and this makes us vulnerable. Think way back in history to early 2021 when COVID-19 was all the rage. So many people were terrified of the “virus with no cure,” which was “killing with abandon.” Images of Godzilla stomping across America devastating everyone in sight were placed in the minds of us all. I mean no disrespect to those who lost loved ones during that trying period in history. I believe we all lost someone we knew. I am merely trying to point out how our government duped us with propaganda about something they truly did not understand. And we were further duped into getting the “shot” that turned out not to be what we expected or were promised. Knowing what you know now about the “shot,” do you feel any safer? And to boot, we gave up some of our freedom and liberty; didn't we? Our government leaders were empowered by our fear, and they learned how easily we as a crowd can be controlled through fear. Even the CDC jumped on the float as if they were at the Mardi Gras by keeping score of the deaths across America, and broadcasting the tally daily on television news spots. Many of those numbers included people who died with the virus, not from the virus - big difference. In his book Scamdemic, John Iovine showed the directive issued by the CDC to “inflate” the number of deaths to keep the fear alive. (3) I remember walking into my doctor's office for my semi-annual visit as maskless as the day I was born. This was before the whole mask mandate thing came out. My doctor reminded me that I was putting everyone at risk by not wearing a mask, as she sat masked with a standard surgical mask. “You mean like the one you are wearing?” I asked incredulously. She nodded so authoritatively, bless her heart. “Well,” I said, “those masks have been proved not to protect against Covid, because they do not have a fine enough weave to filter out the virus.” You will never guess her response. Aw, go ahead-guess-it's more fun that way. She said, “It's better than nothing.” What do you say to stupid, huh? Well, leave it to me to find something to say: “So is a screen door in a submarine,” I said. That was the day I discovered how big the flu shot (not Covid) needle was. Sometimes research makes me stupid, too. “Propaganda is to democracy what the bludgeon is to a totalitarian State.” Noam Chomsky The power of propaganda lies in the images evoked by words, which in turn stirs in us an emotion. Propaganda does not target our reason and logic, but rather the irrational state of our being. We are more prone to act on emotion than logic. Words such as democracy, socialism, equality, equity, liberty, etc., are vague and ill-defined words that have meaning as varied as the individuals hearing or reading them, which in turn stirs in us an emotion. As Michelle Stiles stated in her book, “Words that evoke powerful and sweeping images of connection, value, community, and fairness will be more effective than simple descriptive terms.” “I know of no country in which there is so little independence of mind and real freedom of discussion as in America,” Alex Tocqueville, Democracy in America Not only does our own government rely on propaganda laced with fear, but other entities totally outside our sphere of elected leadership rely on it as well. For example, anthropogenic Climate Change propaganda from the United Nations is filled with fear inducing statements, which are used effectively on adults and children but most effectively on our leaders in Washington D.C. through the UN's “Summary for Policymakers” published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.(4) What the policymakers see is mostly propaganda and fear mongering, and much different than the body of the report written by the IPCC. The report is written by one group of people, and the Summary for Policymakers by a totally different body without much reference to the main body of the report. Activists go as far as to say that all our trials and tribulations in life are the result of Climate Change. We can debate these types of subjects at length, but it is not the merits of each case that are important to this topic. The topic is propaganda that is designed to direct the populace in a predetermined direction for the benefit of the elites. We in Convention of States are faced with a propaganda war from globalist groups that do not want the States to reign in their rightful power. These groups benefit from long term legislators in Congress who ramp up federal spending at every turn of the money printing presses, and those who benefit further as government takes your rights and liberty. Elites who will be the only benefactors in the New World Order. They do not want an Article V Convention, and they are afraid of what we are trying to accomplish. My time in the Navy Special Warfare Unit taught me one thing; when being put in a a defensive position by the enemy, turn about ain't (sic) foreplay - it's an invitation to respond with tactical offensive maneuvers. To fight this propaganda, we must fight it with our arsenal of words, using them strategically to eventually share the truth. However, the fight is not won with a barrage of facts aimed at the opponent without first hearing our opponents position. We learn their point of view by asking questions of our opponent to draw them out. We can then deliver our point of view by masking them in pointed questions. The technique is called Socratic Dialogue or Apologetics. No, we are not going to apologize to our opponent. The word comes from the Greek word “apologia,” which means to make a defense. This is the technique attorneys use in the courtroom to arrive at the truth in court. We must also rally together and let our state representatives hear from us in mass. In the eloquent words of Dr. Benjamin Franklin: “Join or Die.” Prior to World War I, elites all over the world studied the scheme laid out by Le Bon. Selling a war to the American people was the test of Le Bon's philosophy. Coming next: “How World War I was sold to America” 1. One Idea to Rule Them All, Michelle Stiles, p-28 2. Ibid, P- 78-79 3.
