The Florida team goes to the capitol

The Florida team hand-delivered our COS newsletter to the offices of all 40 Florida Senators and 73 of the House Representatives.

Convention of States Florida leaders, volunteers, and supporters met at the Florida capitol on March 27, 2019, during the Senior Day Event.

Larry Jewett and Rich Simo hosted a patriotic information tent all day with our flyers and answered questions to the many seniors across the state who came for the Senior Days Event at the capitol (sponsored by United Way and many others).

One of the missions of the visit was to meet with and reach our representatives on their turf. One of the many new volunteers, Brenda Karlin, along with the State Director, Michelle LaFlamme and James Horton hand delivered our Florida newsletter to the offices of all 40 Florida state senators and 73 representatives.

We now have only a few representatives left “untouched.” Some District Captains will deliver it personally in their home districts.

Now, we will invite a team of people to call those legislators who did receive it yesterday and ask if they had a chance to look at our latest newsletter and if they heard that Mississippi has joined us by becoming the 15th state to pass the Convention of States resolution.
