| “Planned Parenthood, other U.S. abortion rights groups to spend $150 million on midterms,” reported a Reuters news article. This adds credence to the new bill proposed in Congress by Representative Lauren Bobert to restrict federal funding to Planned Parenthood and reallocate it to other “women's health” organizations that focus on health and not abortions. According to One America News, “in 2022, federal funding towards Planned Parenthood facilities had been over $633 million.” “The nation’s largest abortion provider has no business receiving taxpayer dollars. Planned Parenthood claims these funds go to healthcare for women, but Planned Parenthood performed a record number of abortions while also reducing the number of well-woman exams and breast cancer screenings it performed,” Representative Bobert stated. With the national debt cresting $32 trillion this year, it’s time that “We the People” rein in this reckless spending at the federal level. Why should American taxpayer dollars be going to this mega-business that makes millions of dollars performing abortions each year, and in turn, sends those dollars to support their radical leftist agenda? |
