2025 Federal Deficit Surpasses $2 Trillion

Despite starting the year with $36 trillion in national debt, our federal government has already run up a $2 trillion deficit for 2025, a number that increases daily

Desperate Americans are turning to their state legislators for a solution to the crippling national debt, $107K per citizen, that is growing over their heads.

At least 45 states, including Michigan, require a balanced budget. State legislators have the authority, using Article V, to call for a convention to propose fiscal restraints on our federal government.

North Carolina Progress, Texas Passage,
and Ohio Hearing!

May 7th  – North Carolina passed both the COS Resolution and 34Ready Legislation out of the House and both pieces of legislation are now moving on to the Senate.

May 8th – Texas fully re-passed the COS Resolution without any expiration date. Texas was the 11th state (out of 19 to date) to pass the COS Resolution. Its re-passage without a sunset clause ensures that it will remain one of the 19 states without any further passage needed!

May 20th – Ohio had a House committee hearing for both the COS Resolution & 34Ready Legislation!

Urgent Need in Michigan!

34 states are required to hold an Article V Convention, but with the current national momentum, that number could be reached without Michigan's  involvement.

It is critical that no constitutional amendments be proposed without Michigan having a commissioner representing the interests of Michigan's citizens at the convention.

34Ready: Michigan's Solution

content.conventionofstates.com_cosaction-prod_public_content_images_97750_97750_original.jpg34Ready Legislation ensures Michigan can be represented in any Article V Convention.

What 34Ready establishes:

- How commissioners will be selected.
- How commissioners will receive instructions.
- Stated limits on a commissioner's authority.
- Criminal penalties for individuals who attempt to coerce a commissioner.
- Criminal penalties for commissioners who act outside of the authority given to them by the Michigan State Legislature.

What 34Ready does not do:

- 34Ready legislation does not call for or endorse an Article V Convention.
