Common sense!
It is now a popular refrain, thank God!
And, of course, it is also the title of one of the most popular and revolutionary-inspiring books of all time by Thomas Paine (1776).

One cannot suppress common sense forever, no matter how much money and power is exerted to mold the minds and will of the common man and woman.
Once given the chance to truly observe the reality of rampant government corruption, we the people eventually cease to tolerate chronic graft and self-serving behavior in both our elected and unelected leaders. All the advanced manipulative psychological weaponry used to remain in power without proper limits gradually loses steam and has minimal effect; that’s what happens within inherently weak & fallible systems (example: Soviet Union's imploding).

However, as a constitutional Republic, our political system is designed to be transparent, self-regulating, adaptive and resilient. To sustain this wonderful model, we often need to remind ourselves and our public servants that THEY report to US.. and we never need be subservient, while voicing our opinions ideally in ways that our children and future generations would uphold as exemplary.

What can the common person grounded in common sense do to offset abusive corruption, as it seems that elections are no longer as effective as one would hope? The best way to rein in an increasingly centralized power structure (entrenched in federal bureaucracy) is via a mechanism the Framers handed us as a gift in Article V (section 2), to be used in extremis.

The time has now come. We can only impose long lasting change through the amendment process. Congress has shirked its duty, as the last amendment passed took place in 33 years ago (1992)!
We simply cannot rely on Congress.
Solution:
Please support our grassroots movement calling for a meeting of the states, to convene under Article V to review proposing potential amendments, related and limited to these three topics:
1) Limit the power & jurisdiction of the federal government
2) Impose fiscal restraints on the federal government
&
3) Place term limits on all federal officials
Heads Up!
Here in New Hampshire, this resolution is soon to be brought to the floor of the House in Concord.
Our resolution is designated as “HCR3” and it needs to be supported by as many of our fellow citizens as possible in order to pass. There are elements trying to block us, as always.
We are truly at the threshold to break through and overcome fearful naysayers. We welcome your assistance in whatever way you can contribute to reach out to your legislators - phone calls, emails, snail mail, etc.
Please contact your state representative and ask him or her to vote YEA for HCR3.
Thank you all!
