Sumter citizens push forward
| The Convention of States South Carolina team is busy conducting grassroots meetings all across the state at the request of many citizens. There has been a huge influx of folks realizing that elections no longer work. Doing nothing is no longer an option. A meeting was recently held in Sumter on February 20, 2021, with a group of citizens that actively take part in other local political and community organizations. Discussions took place on how Article V is a peaceful solution for reining in an out-of-control federal government.  Regional Captain Jeff Kilgren and District Captain Phillip Good directed the meeting.  There were 20 activists who attended. Everyone learned how they can help through building a consortium of grassroots volunteer groups. Involvement with local political parties, friends, family, and other community groups are key to success.
