Shelby Williams for Plano City Council, Place 5
| Shelby Williams, a strong constitutional conservative, is running for reelection to Plano City Council for Place 5. I'm asking for your support in getting him reelected! Early voting has started and runs through May 2. Election day is May 6. Here are the election locations. ===== Why vote for Shelby for Plano City Council? ===== Here are my reasons: * Transparency: Shelby posts on his web site a preview and recap of every city council meeting. Your can find these videos on his website. Other politicians talk about transparency, but Shelby puts in the work to communicate to us what is coming, and what has happened. I don't know of any one else that goes to this level to communicate with all of us. * Promises. Shelby kept his promises that were made in his last campaign on property taxes, prioritizing public safety, passing Campaign Finance Ethic Ordinance, establishing Plano's Rainy Day fund and more. * Taxes. Property taxes are crushing everyone, and Shelby has successfully kept the city's portion of property taxes flat all four years he's been in office. He is also championing the effort with the state legislature to eliminate property taxes in Texas. * Public Safety. He voted to overfund the police in the middle of the defund the police movement. Shelby is a strong conservative that has proven that he will advocate for us on these and other important issues. Shelby gives back to the community in other ways. Every year he gives free presentations on Property Tax 101 (protesting your property tax), Constitution 101 for local schools, and How Local Government Works in Texas.  ===== Can you help Shelby win this election? ===== There are multiple ways you can help out. * Telepatriot. We have set up a campaign to call Plano COS supporters to encourage them to vote for Shelby. You can do this at your own pace, when you have a minute to make a few calls. * Poll Greeter. This involves holding a Shelby sign (I'll provide it) at a polling location and encouraging people to vote. This is surprisingly effective as many people decide when they enter the polling location who to vote for. * Blockwalking. The weather is perfect for a neighborhood stroll to tell your neighbors about the best candidate for city council. I'll set you up with a script and houses to visit. * Vote, vote, vote! Please remember to vote in early voting (now) or on election day, May 6. And please remind family, friends and neighbors.
