Rebuilding Liberty
 ===== 250 YEARS OLD – LET’S HAVE A PARTY! ===== The 250th birthday of the United States will be celebrated with great fanfare in 2026. Guess what has the following: · 1337 words · 32 paragraphs (to a grammarian) · 56 signatures If you said the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE – you would be right. As July 4th  rolled around this year, I was reminded of how blessed I am to have been born in the United States of America. It is with heartfelt gratitude that I thank the Lord for letting me be here in this country at this time and in this space.So much is going on now politically. Let’s see, there were riots in Los Angeles, illegals being brought back to the U.S. from deportation so they can have ‘their rights’ protected, another mini-war between Israel and Iran, folks arguing against work-related promotion based on merit, litigation of Executive Orders ad nauseum, and an abundance of waste / fraud / and abuse. Whew – I could go on, but it is too depressing for this gal to continue. Some might ask, ‘Why do you feel blessed to be here?” My response is because we have so much freedom in the USA. As much control as we think the government exerts over us, that does not pass the sniff test. My favorite passage from the Declaration of Independence is: “WE hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men were created equal, that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed” . . . We know that these Rights are not Free and are dependent on a belief on where they originate (the Creator), a citizenship that knows how their government is structured, and a willingness to give their lives, if needed, to protect these Rights. To foster our ‘Rights’ Convention of States Louisiana will be hosting a 4-week video-based course by Patriot Academy called, “Rebuilding Liberty” every Monday in October at 7:00. Join us to learn the building blocks of liberty and find out about a 12-step program of action, grounded in the principles of the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE. Some COSLA volunteers who have already taken the course are planning several activities such as hosting ‘Rebuilding Liberty’ courses; planning a 250th birthday celebration; and offering Constitution Day programs. To register for the October course on “Rebuilding Liberty,” please go to https://www.patriotacademy.com/coach/register/10267 I urge you to get involved with us by taking the course and then being a part of planning and implementing steps to recovery of our great nation. In the least, it could be a mini-Civics lesson refresher and at the most these events could reignite the ‘fire in your soul’ to become part of the solution to Rebuilding Liberty in the United States of America.
