Our Path Use Charter process to create a Precinct Chair Coalition that will become involved in all facets of the Precinct and County Chair election and planning process at the County level. As a m easure of the issue , Travi s Cou nty ha s appr oxima tely 46 3 prec incts. Assum ing preci nct chairs from onl y one politica l party would wish to becom e invo lved, th e PC C oalitio n wou ld nee d about 13 fac ilitators to han dle Tra vis Co unty if C OS wi shed to remai n heav ily invo lved at a ratio of 1:35 and achieve COS obj ectives stated in this Charter . Over t ime, a s the collab orative culture takes hold wi thin a specif ic cou nty, and as mo re CO S VAs becom e preci nct chai rs, the number of Co alition facilita tors re quired for that count y coul d be reduce d as pr ecinct chairs develop the disci pline t o self- facilita te. Th at wou ld ena ble tho se Coaliti on fac ilitator s to mo ve on to othe r coun ties. Success in at least one ta rget count y will p ermit t he Co alition to org anical ly exte nd its operat ions in to other key count ies and eventual ly thro ughou t the S tate of Texas .
