September Events and Requests

•

The Cascade Project started in August. It involves creating a steady flow of COS contacts to
state legislators. Pray as our teams continue to work out the glitches and technical issues.

•

Pray over special projects in the works to celebrate Constitution Week,

September 17-21

.

•

Georgia:

State Director Sierra Leone is recovering from surgery for a serious health issue. We

are thankful that a full recovery is expected. Pray for steady progress and for her consider-
able financial needs to be met.

•

A regional training event will be held in Philadelphia,

September 7-8

, involving leaders from

twelve eastern states. It is organized by Regional Directors Monica Sellers and Diana Reimer.

Leader of the Month

Mike Ruthenberg

is Executive Vice President. Many of us know him

from his weekly Facebook Live broadcast with Tamara Colbert.

In mid-August, Mike was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was initial-
ly considered incurable and life-threatening. To the doctors’ amaze-
ment, they were able to remove it successfully and have declared him
cancer-free. Praise God for his powerful healing touch and for merciful-
ly sparing Mike’s life! Pray for complete healing for Mike and for strength as he attempts to start
working from home in September.

Father God, we confess that America is a very self-reliant society. A “can-do” attitude is built into
our culture, and it feels so unnatural to humble ourselves and admit our helplessness. But Lord,
our spiritual and political enemies are very strong. The job of preserving the liberty and self-
governance that you’ve blessed us with is truly beyond us. Keep us dependent and confident only
in you—and may YOU receive glory for the victory!

California:

Pray for those battling and

affected by the wildfires. Lord, send rain!

Praise God for our twelve passed states! In
faith, let’s thank him for numbers 13, 14,
15—all the way to 34!

Utah

and

Wyoming

: Ask God to raise up

legislative sponsors for the COS resolution.

Spiritual warfare is real. Ask God to bring
down demonic principalities and powers
that would destroy America and our Judeo-
Christian heritage.

Let’s ask God for 30 million petition signers.

Midterm elections are two months from
today! Pray according to 1 Timothy 2:1-2 for
key races in your state and for skilled and
godly leaders to be elected.

Hawaii:

Ask for guidance and provision

regarding plans for a visit from Mark Meck-
ler and related events and meetings in early
October.

Speak grace, blessing, and protection over
all the families of COS leaders and
volunteers.

Michigan:

The MI state legislature is one of

the few that meets through most of the
year, and there is positive movement on the
COS resolution! Pray for a few more sup-
porters in the House.

11  Pray for wisdom regarding possible plans to

hold a COS simulation in 2019. Claim
James 1:5!

Kansas

: Ask God to pour out his comforting

presence on Lois Spillman, KS Coalitions
Director, and her family after the recent
loss of several loved ones.

13  Call on God for a breakthrough in Eagle

Forum’s opposition to COS.

14  A number of outstanding legislators were

presented awards for their COS support at
the ALEC meetings last month. Thank God
for them and pray that they would continue
to be bold and effective advocates for
liberty.

15  Pray for our nation to humble itself before

the Lord and experience the fear of God—
Deut. 10:12.

Hawaii:

Pray for a great response to the

COS table at the Hunting and Fishing
weekend today and tomorrow—manned by
all new volunteers!

17  Today is Constitution Day! Thank God for

our Constitution and its recognition of our
God-given rights.

18  So many allegations of collusion and

corruption! Ask God to shed his light on
D.C., according to Job 12:22.

19  2018 has been a difficult year with no new

states passing the COS resolution so far.
Ask God to give the leadership insight with
regard to the political and spiritual
dynamics.

Connecticut

and

Massachusetts

: Pray for

growth in the grassroots teams, and for
Monica Sellers, Regional Director for these
states.

21  Pray that the Bible will be as widely read,

known, loved and revered as it was in the
days of America’s founding.

Arkansas, Idaho,

and

Montana

: Pray for

wisdom in planning and organizing events.

23  Ask God to clearly reveal to Americans the

bankrupt nature of postmodernism and
cultural Marxism.

COS: Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Ben
Shapiro, Pete Hegseth, Dennis Prager,
Glenn Beck, and others. Ask God to
increase their voice and influence.

Illinois:

Pray for God to move influential

legislators to serve as sponsors for the COS
resolution.

26  Our left-wing opponents include George

Soros, Hillary Clinton, and many others.
This number is certain to increase. Ask God
to show you how to pray for them according
to Matthew 5:43-44.

27  Let’s call on the Lord for a new Great Awak-

ening in the 21st century!

Idaho:

Pray for a great turn-out for a

potluck picnic (a “potnic”!) tomorrow in
northwest Idaho.

Hawaii:

Lift up a big petition-signing event

today and tomorrow at the Great Guns
Show.
