August Events and Requests



CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) is being held in Dallas August 4-7. Both
Mark and Patty Meckler will be speaking and COS volunteers will be in attendance. Pray for
great visibility and a new surge of support for COS as a result.



Plans are underway for the Reclaiming Liberty Summit in October, which will involve COS
leaders from across the country. Pray for grace for Carol Aldridge and other national staff
who are working to bring together all the details and logistics.



The Trafalgar Group just came out with great new survey showing broad support for COS
across the country. Pray for wisdom and creativity in using it to promote COS.

Leadership Prayer Focus

Jackie Burns served as State Director in Minnesota for several years
before moving to Oregon. She is now using her skills and experience as
Oregon State Director.
Jackie shares that the Oregon team is small and has work to do to grow
the grassroots. There are also essential leadership roles that need to be
filled. She asks prayer that the COS message touches the hearts of our
grassroots and spurs them to take action.

Father, we know that you see the end from the beginning. There are many things that seem doubt-
ful or impossible to us but from your perspective they are already accomplished. We believe that it
is your will that North Carolina and fourteen more states pass the COS resolution. We believe that
in spite of the North Carolina Senate’s failure to call for a vote, you see your plans as already
fulfilled, and so in faith we call North Carolina a “passed state.” We also declare America to be a
land of freedom and justice capable of fulfilling her great destiny in the world. We thank you in
advance for bringing these things to pass and for your power to give life to our dead nation.

Daily Prayer Guide for August 2022

1  Kentucky: pray for all those affected by

recent devastating floods in eastern KY.

2  Kansas: lift up the primary election today

with many pro-COS candidates. Also pray
for comfort for the family of DC Gary Knight
who was recently killed in a plane crash.

3  Nevada: continue to pray for the Summer

Town Hall series. Also pray for healing for
the husband of Tammy, a regional captain.

4  Lift up the Mecklers and the entire COS

team at CPAC over the next four days.

5  Iowa: lift up the team working the COS

booth at the state fair, various county fairs
and gun shows throughout the state. Also
pray for COS supporters to be active in
Central Committee positions.

6  South Dakota: pray for great success at fairs

this month, and for an increase in positions
being filled.

7  North Carolina: a state prayer team launches

today! Ask God to make the leaders effective
in calling the NC volunteers to prayer.

8  Oregon: pray for confidence for the team as

they begin virtual town halls.

9  Pennsylvania: pray that the team does not

get weary in well-doing as they continue to
push for passage into the fall.

10  New Mexico: pray for much organization and

engagement that is needed and for the team
to be inspired to action.

11  Minnesota: pray for volunteers to help with

the Game Fair this weekend and next.

12  Massachusetts: lift up the state strategy

meeting tomorrow as the team sets “SMART
goals” for the upcoming legislative session.

13  Georgia: ask for new volunteers to come

forth at the Duluth-Johns Creek town hall
today.

14  New Hampshire: pray for success of the

targeted effort to recruit a chief sponsor
in the Senate and develop a network of
co-sponsors.

15  Texas: lift up the state strategy meeting this

weekend. Pray for safety in travels, team
bonding, and a great strategy for removing
the sunset clause in the 2023 session.

16  Vermont: pray for high visibility and traffic at

the COS booth at the state fair over the next
four days.

17  Idaho: pray for wisdom, humility, and grace

in reaching out to influential conservative
organizations that are opposed to COS. Ask
God to break down the walls so these groups
can work together to save Idaho and America.

The Power of Prayer

Prayer is commanding the will of the Lord to be done, believing that it will be!



Isaiah 45:11 (NKJV): Thus says the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: ask Me of
things to come concerning My sons, and concerning the work of My hands; you command
me.



Matthew 6:9-15 (NKJV): In this manner therefore pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be
Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this
day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us
into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power
and the glory forever. Amen.

18  West Virginia: lift up this small team as they

focus on getting new petition signers at fairs
and festivals. Ask God to raise up district
captains.

19  Pray blessings on organizations, legislators,

and citizens who are working to protect the
integrity of the upcoming elections.

20  California: pray for an effective state strategy

meeting today.

21  Nevada: ask God to fill many key roles. Also

pray for favor with the current and incoming
NV legislature to pass the COS Resolution.

22  Utah: ask for God's abundance to be upon

the hard-working and faithful Utahn leaders
as they labor in recruitment, training, and
retention of volunteers. Pray for inspiring
vision and that God will help the team to be
fruitful and multiply.

23  New York: pray for recruitment of leaders in

and around Buffalo.

24  Rhode Island and Vermont: pray that the

teams will develop cohesion as they work for
a public understanding and appreciation of
liberty.

25  Minnesota: ask God to raise up a talented

and engaged grassroots coordinator—or two!
Pray for skills and perseverance to rally new
legislators and incumbents post-election to
be COS supporters.

26  Pray for our President and his administra-

tion according to 1 Tim. 2:1-4.

27  Massachusetts: praise God for a new

legislative liaison! State Director Michael
Arnold is grateful for your prayers.

28  Join Associate RD Andrew Lusch in lifting

up the Western Region. He asks prayer for
these teams to be bold and unwavering to
the cause, humble servants to each other,
and able to run and not be tired. Ask God to
raise up vibrant, committed leaders.

29  Indiana: ask for God’s healing touch on Ed

Paragi who suffers from pancreatic cancer.

30  Maine: thank God for the development of the

leadership team and pray specifically for a
Grassroots Coordinator and an Events
Coordinator.

31  Our nation is at a critical juncture. Pray for

Americans to recognize that liberty is at
stake.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
But we trust in the name of the
                    Lord our God.
