August Events and Requests

•

Each Regional Director has come up with “SMART goals” for the next two months. Pray for
wisdom and determination to achieve them.

•

Please pray for the hearts of our leaders to embrace, not just Servant Leadership, but the
Master who gave us the model to follow. Give thanks for opportunities leaders have seen to
share their faith and disciple COS volunteers. Pray for open hearts and minds.

•

Pray that District Captains will be engaged and active. We need depth, not just breadth!

Leadership Prayer Focus

Our Director of Grassroots Training,

Jason Girard

, is a

familiar face to many volunteers due to his enthusiastic
presence on webinars and training videos.

Jason asks prayer that the Lord would bless his words,
training, and example to be effective in advancing
liberty. Let’s also pray with Jason that he will be skilled
at duplicating himself in others and be a good steward over all the Lord has given him.

Scripture of the Month

Father God, we have a truth crisis in the nation. We have rejected your Word and the truth it
contains, and now we are fumbling around in darkness and confusion. Our journalists publish
opinions and even blatant lies as news, and our universities teach what the Apostle Paul called
“doctrines of demons.” We ask you, Lord, to raise up bold, prophetic voices to speak your truth.
Protect them and give them courage. Give believers integrity in discerning truth from error and the
ability to recognize our own biases. We pray also for great integrity for the COS movement and
that you will empower us to confront lies about COS with the truth.

Arkansas

and

Maryland:

lift up a virtual town

hall in AR today and state strategy meetings
in MD.

Call on God for mercy in bringing an end to
the violence in Portland and other cities.

Pray about the many decisions that need to
be made with regard to school openings this
fall.

The COS email system has been broken for
several weeks. Ask God to provide a fix.

Delaware:

pray for good attendance and

fruit from a virtual town hall with Mark
Meckler this evening.

New Hampshire:

pray that the team’s hand-

written postcard campaign will go viral and
that their work to involve young people will
bear much fruit.

Missouri:

ask for a healing touch on

Regional Captain Carol Hurley.

Massachusetts:

pray blessings over the state

strategy meetings happening today as well as
recruiting efforts.

9

Mississippi:

lift up the completion and

execution of the 2021 state strategy. Also
pray for two regional captains.

10  Pray for wisdom and protection as the state

teams start making plans to hold in-person
meetings and events.

11

Utah:

pray for a Grassroots Coordinator and

for strategies to build enthusiasm among
the grassroots—often a challenge for passed
states.

Vermont:

pray for opportunities to meet face

to face with like-minded people and for
growth in the number of active supporters
and volunteers.

South Dakota:

give thanks for the many new

petition signers, and ask that leadership
roles would be filled.

14

Missouri:

ask God for a fruitful harvest as

the team implements its strategy to increase
the number of active volunteers.

Minnesota:

ask God for a healing touch on

several team members with health problems.

Rhode Island:

thank God for the volunteers

who have been added so far this summer
and pray that they find avenues to build
name recognition and support.

Pennsylvania:

pray that the message of our

mission will re-ignite supporters to contact
their legislators and urge support, particu-
larly in August and September.

18  It’s been said that we are in a street fight for

liberty. Ask God to teach us how be Christ-
like even in a nasty ideological battle.  Pray
according to 2 Cor. 10:3.

Grassroots goals for September 1:

700 active DCs

•

85% active rate for our DCs

•

75% of our GCs through COS University (video course)

•

65% of our DCs through COS University

•

One or two “headliners” to come alongside Mark Meckler and share the load of speaking at
events and testifying in state legislatures

•

A breakthrough in Eagle Forum's opposition to COS

Ohio

and

Pennsylvania:

these state legisla-

tures are still active. Ask God to give us his
amazing grace to pick these two states up.

Mississippi

: continue to pray for healing

for cancer patients Bruce Cook and Eric
Bradley, as well as favor and protection for
the team from COVID-19.

21  Pray for integrity in the upcoming election

and the patriots at True the Vote. Ask God
to move believers to vote and become
engaged.

Connecticut:

pray blessings on the state

strategy meeting happening today.

23  Give thanks for the increased number of

sign-ups to the Prayer Warriors Team in
July. Lift up efforts to establish fasting

teams within COS

.

24

Michigan:

give thanks for a victory in the

Senate committee and ask for success in the
remaining legislative hurdles.

25  Lift up DA John Durham and his team as

they investigate high-level corruption. Pray for
justice to be done according to Luke 18:7.

Maine:

thank God for the enthusiasm and

work of the fledgling ME team and pray that
their efforts will engage their state.

27  Pray for health and protection over our

President and his family and staff.

28

Utah:

pray for good attendance at the state

COS BBQ being held tomorrow.

29

Delaware:

lift up the state strategy meeting

being held today as well as ongoing recruit-
ing efforts.

30

California:

the legislative liaison has sched-

uled about eleven sessions with legislators
over the next few months. Pray for receptiv-
ity and good fruit from these interactions.

31

South Dakota:

continue to pray for success

at fairs and meet-ups with legislators and
petition signers.
