August Events and Requests

Oregon:

the COS team will be hosting Mark Meckler for the first time. Pray that

the event will be effective in growing and inspiring this fledging team.

•

A significant TV interview will be aired on

August 19

. Pray for all the publicity work leading

up to that and for great viewership and impact.

•

Pray over special projects in the works to celebrate Constitution Week, September 17-21.

•

Mississippi :

Regional Captain Melinda James recovering from bypass surgery on July 13.

•

David Horowitz, Mark Meckler, and Tom Coburn will be representing COS at ALEC, a large
gathering of legislators

August 8-10

. Pray for great impact on these law-makers.

Leader of the Month

Joanne Martin

is the Assistant to the National Grassroots Coordinator.

Much of her job involves serving as a liaison between the national team
and the Western States.

In June, Joanne suffered a bad broken ankle which required surgery and
has incapacitated her. Pray for successful healing and for her to receive
the help she needs while she is not able to get around. She is hopeful to
soon be able to start putting some pressure on her foot, and also anxious
to be well enough to manage some travel that she has planned for the end of August.

Lord, it is so tempting to trust in our own strength, our own political savvy or ability to recruit sup-
porters for this cause. But we know that it is only by your favor that we will ultimately see suc-
cess, Thank you for your unfailing love. Keep us always in a place of dependence and holy fear.
Grant us favor and success to the glory of your great name.

asks prayer for strong state coordinators
who can own their positions., and for wis-
dom for her as she works with them.

Conservative organizations Eagle Forum
and Concerned Women for America oppose
COS. Ask God to bless their efforts to
strengthen liberty, and pray that someday
they will join with us in support of COS.

Nebraska:

pray for a great turnout at the

Minden town hall meeting today.

Let’s ask God for 30 million petition signers.

Ask God to enlarge Mark Meckler’s platform
as a prophetic voice to our nation.

Ask the Lord for an increase in wise and
skilled leadership. Claim James 1:5 for our
leaders.

The John Birch Society is a strong right-
wing opponent of COS. Pray for them to
value truth.

Rhode Island:

pray for God to raise up a

leadership team. Thank God for new leaders
in other small eastern states, and pray for
growth and encouragement.

11  Thank God for our Founding Fathers and

their commitment to liberty.

12  America needs educational movements that

honor God and value truth, liberty and the
Constitution. Also pray for the development
of educator and home-school coalitions
within COS.

13  Democratic Party members often find it

politically difficult to support COS, even if
they personally see the benefits. Pray for
courageous law-makers to lead the way.

14  Michael Farris, co-founder of COS, now

leads Alliance Defending Freedom. Pray for
great success in their legal battles.

15  Ask for open doors with the media to spread

the COS message, and for enablement for
Tamara Colbert and her team of media
liaisons.

16  Dr. Tom Coburn serves as one of our Senior

Advisors and has battled cancer for many
years. Ask God to grant him complete
healing.

17  Claim Philippians 2:1-5 for the COS leader-

ship team—unity, humility, and the mind of
Christ.

Pray a blessing over our endorsing politi-
cians—Greg Abbott, Marco Rubio, Ben
Sasse, and many others—and ask God to
increase their number.

Wisconsin:

the team has a strategy to intro-

duce the COS resolution in December. Pray
for God to move the plan forward.

20  Pray for a COS District Captain every House

district in America!

21  Our website is always vulnerable to attack.

Pray for Michael Tranchina and his IT staff.

22  Pray for our nation to humble itself before

the Lord and experience the fear of God—
Deut. 10:12.

cultural Marxism.

the State Fair starting today through
September 3.

25  Ask God to bless and strengthen our

Regional Directors: Diana Reimer, Grant
Martin, Monica Sellers, David Schneider,
Paul Hodson, Ginny Rapini, and Joanne
Martin. Pray for traveling safety.

26  Our left-wing opponents include George

Soros, Hillary Clinton, and many others.
This number is certain to increase. Ask God
to show you how to pray for them according
to Matthew 5:43-44.

27  Pray for protection over President Trump

and for opportunities to share the COS
vision with him.

28  Let’s call on the Lord for a new Great Awak-

ening in the 21st century!

29  We have many COS coalitions in the plan-

ning stages. Keith Carmichael, National
Coalitions Director, requests prayer that we
can locate state coalition coordinators, par-
ticularly for Home School Parents and Vet-
erans Coalitions.

California:

state director Kimberly Hogan

requests prayer for a successful strategy
that will result in a committee vote in 2019.
