![]() Prayer Team Guide - October 2022 Scripture of the Month - Isaiah 46:9-11 “Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-o ff land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.” As we face midterm elections, let us remember who is Lord of all and entrust ourselves and our country in His care. “Sovereign Lord over all, we surrender ourselves to your will for the upcoming elections. We pray for your Spirit to move in mighty ways over our country and its leadership. Put the right people you desire into positions of influence to help our country continue to pursue liberty and justice for all. Protect our polling places and those who tend to them. And no matter the outcomes, teach us to be obedient to your call on our lives and to trust you to multiply that obedience in fruitfulness for many years to come.” The Power of Prayer Many requests in this month, and in each of our guides, are about roles we need fulfilled for our mission across the 50 states. There is a great harvest out there and laborers are needed for this harvest. “He (Jesus) told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Luke 10:02 We know that there is much work to be done, so in obedience to our Lord, we will ask for God to raise up those laborers. There is a practice of praying this prayer at 10:02am or 10:02pm every day to keep this command ever before us and continue to entreat the Lord of the Harvest for those laborers we need. Join us in setting an alarm on your phone or watch for 10:02am or pm or both and pray with us daily as Jesus commanded us. Next time that alarm goes o ff , say this prayer with us, “Lord of the Harvest, raise up many laborers for the work you have called us to.” And trust that he will hear and respond to our requests. ![]() 1 - Arkansas: Prayers for a successful strategy meeting on October 1st. 2 - Florida: Prayers for a speedy recovery from hurricane Ian 3 - Ohio: Prayers for patience and perseverance as they continue to work with uncommitted legislators. 4 - Idaho: Prayers for Cynthia Weiss DC in Idaho who was struck by lightening this year and is still dealing with health and financial issues. 5 - Prayers for all of our guest speakers at the Summit that God will fill their words with His intention for our grassroots leadership to be strengthened. 6 - Prayers for safe travel to the Summit for all those who are attending. 7 - Prayers for all in attendance at the Summit and for God to use the gathering to strengthen our Convention of States family and dedication toward our mission. 8 - Rhode Island: pray for success at the Scituate Art Festival on Oct. 8-10. 9 - Pray for all those returning home from the Summit gathering in Orlando, FL. 10 - Pennsylvania: pray for promotion and attendance at our Town Hall on Oct. 10. 11 - South Dakota: Pray for all the petition signers and supporters in South Dakota. 12 - Prayers for our Grassroots team members and their families to have the provision and resources to sustain them. 13 - Maine: pray to develop a robust TelePatriot team for missions especially during the winter months. 14 - New Hampshire: pray for successful release of a state senator's videos promoting GOTV and COS. 15 - New York: pray for branching out beyond gun shows to additional types of venues. 16 - CO, KY, NC, SC, WV prayer that the teams move through the campaigning season with grace, wisdom, and understanding. 17 - Please pray for wisdom and discernment for the national exec team as they bring in new people to help support the grassroots.
