The Power of Prayer

In Genesis, we learn of Jacob’s many faithful years of service to Laban, his father-in-law, only
to be chased down like a criminal when he left with his family. Yet Jacob’s faithfulness to God
blessed his descendants and left a legacy for all God’s children. His faithfulness paved the
way for both Jew and Gentile to be His.

“And He said, ‘Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled
with God and with men, and have prevailed.’”

(Genesis 32:28)

Our struggles are not new on earth. Pray a prayer of thanksgiving that God has chosen us to
prevail. We are His children and he will bless us if we remain faithful to Him.

Daily Prayer Guide for June 2024

1:

Pray that the American judicial system

would not be used as a political weapon
against the innocent, but that it would be
renewed to uphold righteousness and
justice.

2 OH:

Pray for wisdom to know how to

maximize the increase of liberty for
ourselves, our families, and our neighbors.

3 MT:

Pray that God gives Montana voters

wisdom and guidance in the upcoming
Primary Election on June 4th and in the
General Election later in the year. Pray that
God leads them to vote in leaders who will
follow God’s will for Montana.

4 MI:

Praise God for all the doors He has

opened and will open in Michigan. Pray that
His hand would be on Michigan, the
Legislature, and the Michigan volunteer
team.

5 OR:

Pray for the Oregon State Team, that

they find God's strength and direction so
that they may be spurred into action.

6 WA:

Pray that God would bolster and

increase a spirit of Servant Leadership in
Washington

7 NV:

Pray for God to provide a new State

Director and Grassroots Coordinator for
Nevada.

8 NC:

Pray that the Speaker calls a caucus

for COS and that the votes are cast in favor
of an Article 5 Convention so NC can be
state #20.

9 MI:

Pray for the Michigan legislators

fighting for what is right that feel beaten
down, that God would uplift them and grant
them wisdom.

10 SD:

Pray for a good showing for the two

educational meetings the South Dakota
teams have scheduled for June, answering
many questions and removing fear of having
a Convention of States.

11 MD:

Pray for Maryland team member MJ

Perraut, for healing of her heart & family.

12 CT:

Pray for the Connecticut Team as

they recruit more District Captains. The
team has lost 12 District Captains in the last
year. Pray for renewed energy among their
grassroots volunteers and new ideas of how
to engage more people.

13 FL:

Pray that God watches over the

Florida volunteers so that their efforts are
effective, meetings are productive, events
are numerous, and spirits are uplifted by the
results they witness and by each other. Pray
they continue faithful in our duty and trust in
God’s outcomes.

14 SD:

Pray for petitions to be signed at

Jamboree Days and for the State Strategy
meeting at the end of June.

15 TX:

Pray for Regional Captain Jim

Burkhart and State Grassroots Coordinator
Jayme Burkhart, a husband and wife team.
Jim has faced multiple health issues
recently but we also received good news he
is being considered for a pacemaker and
was released from the hospital.

16 FL:

Pray that God makes the support of

an Article V Convention among our Florida
Legislators and Governor contagious to the
whole state and nation. Pray God softens
the minds of other State Legislators,
Governors, and citizens alike resulting in 34
passed COS resolutions needed to call a
convention.

17 SC:

Continue your prayers for South

Carolina team members Sam and Nadine
McDonald as they continue to face health
issues.

18 National:

Pray for the Emerging Leaders

Program Leadership Team as they prepare
to recruit and interview applicants for the
next year of the internship program. Pray
that they would find students who are
hungry for truth and seeking mentorship in
this program. And continue to pray for the
development of our state internship program
Leaders Launchpad.

19 MD:

Pray for the Maryland Team as they

embark on their 2024-2025 strategy
development process.

20 TX:

Texas needs District Captains along

the border regions. Pray that strong, faithful,
God-fearing, articulate men and women will
heed the call to step in to help the Texas
team.

21 MI:

Pray for the safety and well-being of

the Michigan volunteer team, and healing
for the volunteers and volunteer family
members that need it. Pray that God is
glorified in Michigan.

22 CT:

Pray that God raises up two good

Content Writers for the Connecticut Team.

23 NJ:

Pray for a successful Citizens Action

Day in Trenton tomorrow (6/24); that state
grassroots along with Rick Santorum can
change the hearts of legislators and move
them to favor the COS mission.

24 MT:

Pray for good health for volunteer

Chelle Mitchell and her husband.

25 SD:

Pray for success with information

tables we will have at two upcoming
Republican Conventions and that we do well
to answer questions.

26 MD:

Pray for one of our former state

team members to be comforted, have
understanding and find peace.

27:

Praying for all of our COS volunteers

and staff to receive the blessings of health
and well being as well as find balance in all
they are committed to.

28 CA:

Searching for 3 Grassroots

Coordinator leaders. Praying they will step
up.

29 MD:

Pray for Maryland team member

Wayne Tindal, for peace & good health.

Join us in closing June by praying

this prayer:

Please LORD, indwell the

people of the nation with the Holy Spirit, that
the hearts of citizens will be changed in
order to bring glory to Your kingdom. We
know, Lord, that though we may change
leaders and laws, it is only by changing the
hearts of citizens that a righteous
relationship with You may be restored.
