Scripture of the Month - Isaiah 9:2-7

“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness,

a light will shine. You will enlarge the nation of Israel, and its people will rejoice. They will rejoice

before you as people rejoice at the harvest and like warriors dividing the plunder. For you will break

the yoke of their slavery and lift the heavy burden from their shoulders. You will break the

oppressor’s rod, just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian. The boots of the warrior

and the uniforms bloodstained by war will all be burned. They will be fuel for the fire. For a child is

born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called:

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its

peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for

all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!”

The Power of Prayer

Jesus Taught the Disciples to Pray

Luke: 11:1-4 “And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of

his disciples said unto him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.’ And he said

unto them, ‘When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy

Kingdom come. They will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And

forgive us our sins; for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us. And lead us not into

temptation; but deliver us from evil.’”

This is the only scripture where Jesus teaches them to pray. We don’t know for certain, but on the

day that the Holy Spirit came upon them in Acts 2:1, it says “they were all together in one place.”

We know they didn’t just sit around playing video games, gossiping or chattering mindlessly, so

whose to say they weren’t praying this prayer when God’s Kingdom did come to earth in the form of

the Holy Spirit? Prayer is Powerful. Never doubt that your prayers are not heard.

1 - As we wait in hope for the Messiah to return

and bring God’s will perfectly on earth, pray

that all His Body are vigilant and prepared to

do his will daily.

2 - Idaho: Please pray for our presence at a

Gun show in Pocatello, Idaho on December

3-4. Pray for good conversations, open minds,

petition signatures and new volunteers.

orts to

GOTV in GA will result favorably in alignment

with COS values.

4 -As we wait in peace for the Messiah to

return and bring peace to our world, pray that

all those who call on him spread Christ’s peace

to those around them.

5 - Vermont: Pray for an e

ff

ective recruiting

ff

ort at our targeted leadership meeting on

12/6.

6 -California: Give thanks for the recent

growth of COMMS team. Pray that the two

new SCCs are guided by His wisdom as they

work together to

lead our communications.

7 - Florida: Health for our army during this

change of season.

8 - Maine: Pray for a change of the committee

our resolution will be assigned to.

9 - New Hampshire: Praise for pre-filing in the

House

10 - Florida: Pray for a smooth transition in our

management software Citizen Builder with the

adjustment of districts.

11 - As we wait in joy for the Messiah to return

and heal broken hearts, pray that the Church

will be a joyous healing balm to the

communities they are called to serve.

12 - New Hampshire: Pray that the 12/13

webinar will be widely received among the 156

new freshmen in the House.

13 - Florida: Shine a light on the best path for

our budding Education Coalition Coordinator

and his team.

14 - New York: Praise for our new SIA and pray

for God to provide regional LL applicants.

15 - Western Region: Pray that eyes will be

opened and hearts will be turned from

opposition to support here in the Western

Region.

16 - Florida: Courage and resolve for all those

building relationships with our new legislators.

17 - Rhode Island: Pray for the promised filing

by a moderate Democrat.

Daily Prayer Guide for December 2022

18 - As we wait in love for the Messiah to

return and reveal his lovingkindness to all, pray

for his Bride to love one another and the world

as he has loved them.

19 - Vermont: Praise for our retiring sponsor,

Bob Helm, and pray for recruiting a new chief

sponsor.

20 - Northeast Region - Pray for success in

the recruitment of rising leaders who will catch

and share the mission with their peers.

21 - Pennsylvania:

Pray for health and personal

situation of SD Jared Bill and his family.

22 - Pray for our hardworking and sacrificial

activists to get the needed rest and family time

to be successful.

23 - Pray for our young people to know each is

made in the image of God; their worth is not

tied to their gender or what the world wants to

label them.

24 - Prayers for all in the COS family to travel

safe if traveling, to recover fully if ill, and to be

filled with renewed strength to fight for liberty

each day!

25 - Thank the Lord for the birth of the

Messiah Jesus and for the work of his salvation

to the world.

26 - Idaho: pray as the 2023 Idaho legislature

looks to be the most conservative in recent

memory and hopefully the most open to the

COS resolution. Pray for the COS leadership

team in Idaho as they make final preparations

this month for approaching the legislature and

for the legislators to be willing to listen and to

have the courage to discuss and pass the COS

resolution.

27 - Florida: Our army’s strength and

knowledge to overwhelm the doubters and help

usher us into our first ever Article V COS.

28 - Western Region: Please pray for the

health of all our activists and all of their family

members in the Western Region and

nationally.

29 - Pennsylvania: that the Freshman

legislators seeing the wisdom in our COS

resolution.

30 - New Mexico: Please pray for the sponsors

and cosponsors to successfully introduce our

resolution. Pray that resistant legislators will be

persuaded to join our cause and support the

resolution.

31 - Florida: God’s presence in our minds and

our hearts as we begin preparing for our

strategy meeting and the 2023 legislative

session.
