WORK PROCESSES The Christus Coalition draws heavily from the existing COS Volunteer Activists residing within the Texas HDs as well as from the COS Prayer Warriors who have already been organized within the State. As with all Coalitions in Texas, a key purpose is to serve as a draw for new people who may currently be Volunteer Interests whom we want to convert to Volunteer Activists. The Christus Coalition derives its mission from Holy Scripture and, thus, may initially attract those who find the political missions of COS to ring hollow against the larger issue of eternal salvation. This Coalition is intended to address this greater issue and, as such, the Coalition Coordinators will be asked to appeal to the “better angels of our nature” when attempting to achieve their group objectives. The mission to develop a network of churches, ministries, COS Volunteer Activists and COS leaders will start in Texas and necessarily move Nationally. This is not an option. It cannot be confined to Texas because this Coalition is addressing the soul of the Nation, and if effective, can alter the spiritual direction of America. The Ministry Advisory Board will play a critical role in advancing the issues of the Coalition, reviewing the work products of the Coalition Teams, ensuring the mission of the Coalition remains focused and unwavering, and expanding its reach throughout Texas. ![]() (v1.0) 5/14/22 5 MEETINGS The Christus Coalition Leadership Team will meet bi-weekly via a dedicated “Christus” Slack Channel or via email to review progress within each Coordinators area, share learnings and improvement opportunities and develop/revise plans for the next three rolling months. Weekly communication will occur among Coordinators, VAs and other Key Interfaces via phone, Slack, ZOOM and email.
