| Who: Wisconsin Convention of States is hosting a table with information, come visit with us What: Pop Up Biergarten & Food Truck Rally When: Thursday, June 15, Friday June 16, 2023 from 3 pm to 9pm When: Saturday June 17, 2023 from Noon to 9pm Where: Harbor Park 5501 Ring Road Kenosha, WI 53140 How much: Admission Free Convention of States educates the public about Article V of our U.S. Constitution. Which says our State Legislators can call a Convention to propose amendments to our Constitution. Convention of States Action has worked with our State Legislators to enter applications in each of our states. Each application is worded the same and is focused on these three issues directed at Washington DC and the Administrative State: 1-Fiscal Responsibility – Our Federal Government has set up a system to spend any amount of our tax dollars 2-Term Limits – Huge amounts of money, & the power of incumbency empower Professional Politian’s at our expense 3-Stop the Over reach – Covid is a recent example of our Central Government, Administrative State and Drug Corporations following their own self-interest instead of what is best for the people. Each amendment coming out of the Convention of States must be ratified by 75% of the states to be added to our existing U.S. Constitution with the force of law. There have been over 11,000 proposed amendments to our U.S. Constitution, and only 27 have ever been ratified. The Founders who wrote the Constitution wanted to make sure any amendment would have wide spread support. Voting the right people into office does not seem to work.
