Pennsylvania Legislative Team Update
| The Pennsylvania Legislative Team has been hard at work keeping steady pressure on our lawmakers and expanding grassroots engagement across the Commonwealth. In-District Meetings: Over the past quarter, volunteers have prioritized connecting with legislators in their home districts. These face-to-face conversations outside of Harrisburg have proven highly effective in building relationships and advancing our COS resolutions. Growing Support for HR125: Momentum continues to build! The Legislative Liaison (LL) Team recently added five new co-sponsors in just seven weeks: Rep. Roman Kozak Rep. Joshua Kail Rep. Parke Wentling Rep. Jeremy Shaffer Rep. Brian Munroe This kind of progress reflects the strength and persistence of our grassroots volunteers across Pennsylvania. Volunteer Spotlight – Shawn Sullivan & Carl Mackenstein: A special thanks to longtime COS volunteer and leader Shawn Sullivan, who has traveled hours across Pennsylvania to join fellow volunteers at legislative meetings. His deep experience in legislator engagement and his commitment to supporting the team have been invaluable. We also want to recognize Carl Mackenstein, Regional Captain for the western region, whose persistence and leadership were directly responsible for securing three of our five newest co-sponsors on HR125. Looking Ahead: With the legislators about to return to Harrisburg (mid-September), the Pennsylvania LL Team is well-positioned to build on this momentum. By continuing to meet with legislators, expand our base of support, and sharpen our outreach tools, we are confident that our strategy is advancing our COS resolutions in the General Assembly.  However, we need all Pennsylvanians to be engaged if we are going to continue our momentum.
