====     Happy Anniversary to our Passed States ====

====  Notes from Mark Meckler and Rick Santorum ====

Rick Santorum is covering the Papal Conclave in Rome for Newsmax and is unavailable.  Our prayers are with him as he reports this historical event.

Mark Meckler is headed to the Texas Capitol today but took a few minutes to share all the hard work that the Texas team has done to make sure that our Lone Star state remains a Passed State.  As many of you are aware, Texas had a sunset clause set to expire this year.  They have been working diligently to assure that they pass a new resolution without a Sunset Clause for the future.  The Texas team has been preparing for this day for six long years - the team has been at the Capitol almost continuously trying to assure the resolution is passed.  They have worked the  halls, the cafeteria and the gallery.  All of this to increase their visibility and presence for the legislators.  As they go before the Senate Committee today, all of this hard work comes to the ultimate fruition. They expect to pass in Committee today and on the floor of the Senate later this week.  Relationships are what drives this kind of action - although it would be easy to anger and balk at some of the attitudes, kindness and patience carried the day for this team!

Mark also reminded us to always keep a cool head and not to respond in anger or resentment to ideas in memes and posts we disagree with.  Keep it factual and honest and most of all, do not PANIC!  It is easy to feel we must agree with a candidate who says something we don't agree with but because we support them we hold our tongue.  We don't have to belabor the issue but it is okay to say we disagree with that position.  Read as much as you can, keep yourself informed, and speak the truth.  Our candidates (and President) are no different than us, we often misinterpret something or get our facts wrong.  Let's don't support misinformation just because we support the one speaking it.  The message stay calm - there is no room for panic in Convention of States!

If you missed BattleCry yesterday, you need to watch it!

District Captain and Volunteer activity is an area we really need to focus on. Those activity reports are available to communicate to our donors all the great work each of you are doing out there in the trenches! It only takes a second to file an activity report on your phone or computer. And for those District Captains reading this, we need to strive for 100% activity in Citizen Builder!
