This update is provided to keep you posted on organizational changes and updates. We are issuing this weekly report each Monday that the National Team meets! Information shared can be shared with your teams! Hope you enjoy it. Be sure to read to the end, lots of goodies throughout!! Please note there will be no Monday Update next week due to Memorial Day! You Don't want to miss it!!   ==== Happy Anniversary to our Passed States ==== Alabama May 22, 2015 Louisiana May 25, 2016 Texas May 4, 2017 Missouri May 12, 2017  ==== Notes from Mark Meckler and Rick Santorum ==== Rick Santorum discussed the lack of transparency and misrepresentation of truth to the American People. Although we may feel glad that this is coming out now, we must remind ourselves that the Trump Administration is working diligently to correct this misrepresentation and we need to nuance this to our advantage - remember, we do what we do as servants to the people of the United States and we need to maintain that posture not as gloaters describing all the bad that has been done. Let us focus on the good that is to come. Mark Meckler agreed with Rick on the need to remain loyal to our mission and not the backwash of Washington in the past. The Trump administration is rectifying the agencies that went awry for you and me, the American People! Don't encourage people to put their faith in people, it is the institutions that we must hold up! It is the people that disrupt the institutions. Remember when you get tired of doing what you do, it is for the COS movement that we do what we do each day. We need to stay focused on our why's (you each know what yours are) and not on us! it is easy to fall into the world of ME - and we need to say focused on the service we give to others. Mission over Me should be our motto. We all do things each day that we would rather not, but we do them because we love others more than our need to do what we want! As a Father, you go out and work at a job to earn a living for your family, as a Mother, you prepare meals that you would rather not as you know your family needs wholesome food to nourish their bodies. As a COS volunteer, we reach out and stand up for the Country we love and the generations to come! District Captain and Volunteer activity is an area we really need to focus on. Those activity reports are available to communicate to our donors all the great work each of you are doing out there in the trenches! It only takes a second to file an activity report on your phone or computer. And for those District Captains reading this, we need to strive for 100% activity in Citizen Builder! You can now start using your COS email address with the .us ending. Everything else remains the same same except for the .us instead of .com! This does not require any action on your part. Your old .com address will forward to the new address, if you purchase business cards or any other material with your email address on it, please use the new cosaction.us.  If you are having difficulty getting your teams on Zulip, we now have several people we can call on to make that happen. If you need help, reach out to your RD and they can hook you up with assistance! We now have dedicated Grassroots leaders who understand the system available to help get you and your team ready to go. Let's get our teammates on so we can make it the great communication tool it can be. We would like to see a more robust participation with this new format. This is approximately the same number of shelter dogs and cats that are adopted in the U.S. each year! Weekly Total: 2,153.
