Let's all do what we should to promote and spread the word about COS then rest in peace! We all know that God's grace and glory will take care of us! Watch for the great things He will bring us!! Take part in the 5 for Article V campaign - may be the biggest one we have done yet - this is a campaign to obtain signatures on petitions from our friends and relatives. Can you imagine how many petitions we could get if everyone got 5 people? It is an easy ask, let's all do it!! ![]() Legislative Activity It is Fair and Festival time - what happens at Fairs and Festivals besides yummy food we shouldn't eat? Petitions! Our teams are out in force bringing them in! We are changing our terminology at COS! As we move into District Season, we refocus closer to home than while in the Capitol (Legislative) Season. It is time for us to get our teams fired up about connecting with their legislators on our home turf. This is the easiest time for us to connect with our legislators. We need to also focus on building our teams to be the best we can be as we strive to fulfill the mission of Growing the Largest Grassroots Army! ![]() District Captain Activity KUDOS to the Top Most Active DC teams by % in the Passed States - Arkansas, Indiana, and Oklahoma and South Carolina. Great Job teams!! District Captain and Volunteer activity is an area we really need to focus on. Those activity reports are available to communicate to our donors all the great work each of you are doing out there in the trenches! It only takes a second to file an activity report on your phone or computer. And for those District Captains reading this, we need to strive for 100% activity in Citizen Builder! ![]() Fun Fact for the Week During the American Revolution, female spies conducted some of the most successful covert operations of the era. ![]() Social Media Program Let's all help with the new Social Media Program! Watch for your notifications or emails at 10:00 AM Eastern Monday thru Friday. Takes only about 1-3 minutes to carry out the call to action! It has proven to be one of our most effective tools!! http://www.conventionofstates.com/social As with all new things, a few rules follow - remember: Do NOT tag or message legislators; Do NOT ask others to contact legislators or sign the petition; and Do NOT post on legislator's posts or pages We are getting lots of good feedback from this program, the more who participate, the greater the impact! Let's all get involved!! We have even picked up several very active sites that are following us now and posting about COS. Per Mark Meckler - please tell as many people as possible to participate in the Social Media effort to help us combat negative comments there! ![]() New Happenings! Feel free to use your .us email address now! You can now start using your COS email address with the .us ending. Everything else remains the same except for the .us instead of .com! This does not require any action on your part. Your old .com address will forward to the new address. If you purchase business cards or any other material with your email address on it, please use the new cosaction.us. Spoiler Alert - you will still need to sign into Citizen Builder with whatever email address you have used in the past! Zulip News Are you having difficulty getting your teams on Zulip? If you need help, reach out to your RD and they can hook you up with assistance! We have dedicated Grassroots leaders who understand the system available to help get you and your team ready to go. Let's get our teammates on so we can make it the great communication tool it can be. We would like to see a more robust participation with this new format. Using the Zulip App is much easier than trying to work in a browser. Help your teams use the platform in the most effective way, have them download the app here: Zulip App. Emails for the COS Leaders organization have gone out - be sure to check all your emails so you don't miss it - it takes the place of the DC workspace in Slack and several others! Looking forward to seeing you all on there! ![]() Petition Roundup Weekly Total: 2674. This is an average of 382 signatures per day (24% above the weekly total average) Top States: 1. IA (22.9%) 2. IL (11.0%) 3. MI (5.0%) Top Dates: 1. 8/7 (21%) 2. 8/9 (20%) 3. 8/8 (17.2%) Wonder where the fairs were this week? Copyright and Image Use Information We need to be diligent in following best practices in terms of use of other peoples information. In that light, please be sure you communicate that we are seeing increasing violations. Be sure to share this important policy on Copyright and Image Use with your teams. ![]() Artificial Information (AI) and YOU!
