The new date to avoid a holiday season government shutdown is approaching again. It’s no surprise Americans are tired of the End of Year shutdown news and they’re turning to the states for solutions.
| Christmas and the end of the year – the threat of government shutdown is the annual tradition every holiday season. Now its time for the annual tradition once again. Soon they will give themselves a few more months of breathing room, but in April we’re set to start the fiscal restraint discussion again. Meet Victoria Spartz, Indiana House Rep in the 5th district. Actually, I am amazed that citizens now accept this as normal. It has become an annoyance news story we hear year after year. The Article V Convention of States movement has been gaining steam all across the country. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have voiced their support for the Article V state convention option, which allows state legislatures to call a convention for the purpose of proposing constitutional amendments. These amendments can shrink the power and jurisdiction of the federal government and return power to the states and the people. Fiscal Restraints could be one way to cut the bureaucracy.
