It's not an exaggeration to say that the Grassroots Leadership Focus call held on May 13 was one of the most uplifting, inspiring, and educational calls in the history of the COS movement. If you missed it, you missed a lot. Highlights included: * The diligent work of the Texas team in seeing through passage of a clean COS resolution that does not contain an expiration date * Success with the COS resolution in the North Carolina due mainly to the relationships that the team established with legislators in Raleigh * Kudos to the team in Alaska for spreading the COS message all the way to the Kenai Peninsula * “Shopping for Petitions” in New England * Recognition of some longtime volunteers in the Flyover Region and a preview of the Race to Freedom Summit in Indianapolis in September You will also hear the truly stirring story of Michael Rilee, former state director of Maryland, whose perseverance and dedication to the cause in the face of a debilitating disease will perhaps move you to tears, but also motivate you to continue the fight for liberty. Mark Meckler capped off the evening with some words of wisdom about “The Forgotten Founder,” the patron saint of Article V, Col. George Mason.
