Michigan officially files the Convention of States Resolution!

Great job, COS Michigan.

Congratulations to our team in Michigan!

Last week, the Convention of States Resolution was officially filed in the state legislature. Senator Curt VanderWall filed the application seeking an amendment-proposing Convention of States to restore our republic.

In conformity with the resolutions filed in 48 states to date, and already passed in 15 states, the resolution sets the agenda of the meeting to consider amendments that “impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress.”

Now the resolution heads to the Senate Government Operations Committee, where members will debate and decide whether to send the resolution to the full Senate.

There's a long road ahead, but we're confident the team in Michigan can get the resolution across the finish line!
