May 2025 News & Events
| ===== WE ARE GETTING CLOSE ===== Our 34Ready legislation could be introduced on the Michigan House floor as early as this month! Isn’t that exciting? A handful of dedicated volunteers from all over Michigan have been going to Lansing every month to ask legislators to support 34Ready & Convention of States. Our legislators are getting to know us and what we are about. This is activism at its best!COS volunteers will gather again in Lansing on Tuesday, May 20th from 9 AM to 12:30 PM to call on our legislators. It's time to turn up the heat and ensure our legislators see new faces in support. Would you like to join us? This is your opportunity to remind your representative and/or senator that you support Convention of States. Have you ever visited their office? Don’t worry about going in alone! We will split into teams and make the rounds in the House and Senate buildings. The Article V movement is alive across the country, and Michigan isn’t standing by idly. We want Michigan to be ready when an Article V convention is called. That’s why we are pushing hard for 34Ready legislation. If you want to spend part of your day with us, let us know by signing up on this volunteer form. Find additional information about the day’s events, where to park, where to meet, etc., HERE. ===== NEAR YOU ===== Are you headed to the annual Blessing of the Bikes in Baldwin on May 16-18? This event is a Northern Michigan tradition with 5,000 to 10,000 people attending. The Michigan volunteer team will be there with petitions for you to sign and educational material to help you spread the word about Convention of States. Make a day of it. Stop by and say hello to our team! See more on our EVENT CALENDAR. ===== DO 1 THING ===== Let's keep our Lansing legislators engaged. Share this QR code with a friend or family member and ask them to join us in the fight to implement permanent change in the structure of our government. All petitions are sent to the appropriate Representative and Senator in Lansing. We are making a difference! Help us keep it going! ===== ===== ===== COS MI NEWS LIVE ===== (Header photo above) Did you catch the latest podcast on reducing federal spending?
