State of the Convention of States Watch Mark and Tucker Carlson page 2-3 https://youtu.be/RNlfbQ-WbFY ![]() 2 3 No one is coming to “save” us from the tyrannical, inflated, intrusive, over-taxing, freedom-eroding Administration. Our Founding Fathers must be turning over in their graves and we have the obligation, duty and ability to do something about it. We all know the answer and it’s a Convention of States. The purpose would be to propose amendments under Article V to remove the power from the Federal Government and return it to the people and the state. A Convention of States is Not a Constitutional Convention that starts from scratch and writes an entirely new constitution. According to Mark Meckler, President and co-founder of Convention of States Action; COS is the largest non-partisan grassroots organization in the nation with 5 million supporters strong across every legislative district in all 50 states. We hope to get 34 states by 2026 and have more states join us this year. Mark states that we are watching for North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Montana, and Wyoming to join our ranks. Our great state of Louisiana has 36,974 current petition signers. Let’s show our legislators that WE the People are in charge of our government and continue to build an engaged army of self-governing grassroots activists. One amendment related to fiscal restraint that Congress could propose is to control inflation, which is likely the most powerful enemy of the American economy. Fiat currency is the cause of every economic problem in America. The economy suffers from the effects of this grand theft of over printing and spending of fiat money. Our Constitution says, “No state shall ….make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debt.” Article 1, section 10. Article 1, sections 8 & 10 can only be restored by a constitutional amendment. Congress never amended our Constitution to authorize the Federal Reserve Act. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 began using fiat currency (government-issued currency not backed by gold or silver). Most Americans blithely accept its constitutionality simply because it was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Wilson. The Federal Reserve Note is wholly unconstitutional if no constitutional amendment authorizes the Federal Reserve or its control of our monetary system. The fact that this isn’t challenged is our nation’s most significant fiscal problem. Many, if not all, of our economic challenges originate with violating this constitutional provision. Could the first step in restoring fiscal restraint be to end fiat currency? It is already quite evident that if Congress halts fiat money creation, a cascade of consequences would precipitate the appropriate corrections throughout our economy. The use of the Article V amendment process is a vital instrument for the correction of such problems. If our Congress has no interest in correcting problems, it will fall to the second process for amendments, a convention of states. Join the millions of people nationwide who have signed the petition to call for a convention to propose amendments such as ending fiat money.
