It's time Pennsylvania joined Convention of States!
![]() Congress and its bureaucrats will never limit their own power. They will continue to spend irresponsibly and take over policymaking in areas like education and commerce–issues that should be left to the states and local governments. The only way to correct this is from the outside–and the states have the power to do it through Article V of the Constitution. Our General Assembly has a limited window of time in which to act in order to achieve this in 2023, since power in the House is expected to change hands–possibly as early as February. The good news is that the governor’s signature is not required for this legislation! The Convention of States resolution is surely the most impactful thing the General Assembly can accomplish this session. Please act now to make it happen before it’s too late. It’s time that Pennsylvania joined with the 19 other states planning an Article V meeting to propose constitutional amendments that will put the brakes on the federal government. We're halfway to our 34 state goal, and Wyoming can be a part of this change for 2023 by adopting the COS resolution. Want to learn more? Check out these additional resources on Article V. HOW WOULD A CONVENTION OF STATES WORK?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n82exC6zLqA WHAT OUR OPPONENTS SAY Our Founding Fathers gave the states the Article V convention process for such a time as this–they knew the national government would eventually try to overpower the states. This process it the last real “check” the states have left to impose reform on Washington, D.C., and protect the powers and rights of the states. All of the objections and arguments have well-researched answers, given by actual constitutional experts. Would it help to know that statesmen and experts you trust are behind this effort? Here’s a list of some of our more famous endorsers! The Tenth Amendment sets forth an important principle of our constitutional system: that powers not delegated to the national government are reserved to the states and the people. Article V’s convention process is the process given to the states to enforce that principle. It’s high time we used it. ![]() //{{https://content.conventionofstates.com/cosaction-prod/public/content/images/62773/62773_original.png?1219x173}}//*All data and polling taken from The Trafalgar Group Nationwide Issues Survey, July 2022 |
