Investing U.S. Tax Dollars in Antarctic Dinosaurs
The National Science Foundation fritters away $2.4 million of our tax money
| The National Science Foundation granted $2,453,100 of American tax dollars to Giant Screen films to promote dinosaurs and “reach millions of theatrical viewers across the U.S.“ Our indebted government wasted $2.4 million of our money to make a dinosaur-centric film to inspire middle schoolers and polar scientists and encourage young people to learn about Antarctica. The project consisted of films in 2D and 3D, a 3-episode TV series, a fictional book, and a museum. One has to wonder why our government wastes our tax dollars making films on a subject when there are already films worth billions of dollars like Jurassic Park, The Land Before Time, Jurassic World, etc. Here's the irony. If they choose to watch the film, the taxpayers will have to buy a ticket – which was produced with $2.4 million of their money. Stay tuned to our blogs to learn more about how your government is frittering away your money. Source: Senator Rand Paul, The Festivus Report 2021 |
