How the COS Structure Supports Our Grassroots Army
Featuring Region 3 in North Florida
| You clicked the volunteer button because something in the COS message inspired you to get off the couch and do something. One of the somethings you can do, is reach out to your colleagues. Fortunately, the COS structure simplifies our ability to connect. Regional and District Captains, Legislative Liaisons, Social Media Warriors, and a long roster of others are available to fortify your efforts. Who is my District Captain? Who is the Legislative Liaison near me? You can easily discover who your local team members are and how to contact them: * Start by signing in (if you don't have an account, create one, it's free). * Hover over your picture/avatar/initials in the top right corner of the webpage and a new menu will appear. * Click on Leaders Directory, which will open in List View. * Change that to Map View and zoom into your location to see who the leaders are in your neighborhood. * You can also search by unique roles such as Veterans Coalition Director or TelePatriot Volunteer. Below is a sample of what the Leaders Directory MAP View might look like. The more you zoom in, the more detail you can find about each person. ![]() COSA Florida defines our COS Regions: The regions are made up of multiple State House Districts. We use both population and mileage in consideration of how we define the manageable regions. Florida has 120 House Districts and we have organized them into eighteen regions. This colorful map, below, shows all the COS regions in Florida. The COS Region numbers begin with 1 in the top left Panhandle and move to the right, then down the state ending in Region 18 which has only one House District, due to the mileage to cover in House District 120. ![]() Region 3 is shown in navy near the top and includes four House Districts 10, 20—22. By dividing the state into manageable groups, COS helps us connect, learn from each other, and support local projects. Michelle Laflamme is the Regional Captain for Region 3 and she supports each of the District Captains in her Region. These are the District Captains in Region 3. | FL House District | Captain | Cos Roles | 10 | Larry Mason | DC | 20 | Open – This Could Be You * | 21 | Open – This Could Be You * | 22 | Open – This Could Be You * |
