(As of June 17, 2025, per Denah Butts, State Director, and Deborah Gard, State Grassroots Coordinator)

CitizenBuilder is a very comprehensive application, but one thing it lacks is reporting functions. And, without a way to report, we have no way to track, we have no way to clearly see our THERE-HERE-PATH. So, in 2024, to assist with reporting the impact of volunteer events (meetings, table-tops, gun shows, festivals, etc), Deb Gard worked with National on developing a standard for CitizenBuilder Tags used at events which increases efficiency for building event reports at all levels.

The tag naming convention was so successful that it was adopted by National. So, today, Florida works with National as follows:

We have both National-paid events and non-paid events and, therefore, decided this as the best course of action:

- Florida provides oversight, reviewing and approving ALL Tags for ALL Florida events.

- To facilitate this, any volunteer requesting payment from National will need to CC the State Grassroots Coordinator (SGC) so that the coordinator is kept in the process. We do not count on National to remember our process, so our own volunteers must be accountable.

- National will always REPLY ALL, so that the SGC is included in the response.

- Based on that correspondence from National the SGC will create the tag in CB and place a copy in the #event-tag-approval-florida channel in Zulip for the event volunteer to use.

- After the event, National requires the event volunteer to submit an ePEQ Form – Post Evident Evaluation Form.  Florida requires that submission is ALSO CC'd to the SGC.

- For non-paid events, the event volunteer will **create a Tag as outlined in this document**, place the proposed Tag in the #event-tag-approval-florida channel in Zulip for review and approval by the SGC.

We ask everyone entering petitions (regardless of method used), to please adhere to this naming standard and work with your SGC to approve the tag for your event.
