COSA PA Volunteer of the month for September2023
| COSA PA is proud to present to you a humble servant who knew something was wrong in this country but not what to do about it, until one day she heard - There is a Solution as Big as the Problem! Please meet Region Six's Block Walking Captain Rosemary Shearer, who in April of 2022, signed the petition and became the 89,103rd petition signer. Rosemary started slow but got more and more involved as she learned about COSA because she understood the responsibility left us by the Framers to be self-governing and engaged. In her own words… For many years, I’ve been blessed by Andrew Wommack’s Ministry. Through this Christian network, I began to loyally watch the Truth and Liberty Coalition Livestream every Monday evening. It was on one of these weekly episodes that I listened to Rick Green and was introduced to the Convention of States Action. With Rick's encouragement, I digitally signed the petition. At first, I volunteered as a telepatriot making phone calls. Then in June of 2022, I attended my first in-person meeting at Church on the Mall. I met many other like-minded patriots whom I have enthusiastically rubbed elbows with ever since. Virtual meetings are a blessing, but, there’s inspiring energy that takes place with live gatherings! Our monthly meetings at the Church on the Mall are a great place for people to be educated, motivated, and network with other Americans who love God and are willing to help save our beloved country. December 2022 was my first time to volunteer at a gun show and I got hooked! It’s a fun opportunity to learn how to share the Article V COS solution with a variety of people. I enjoy volunteering at these events and do so every chance I get; I encourage everyone to get involved and volunteer. Soon you will consider the people you work with as your extended family. I joined other Region 6 volunteers in Harrisburg last September 2022 and this past April! What an amazing experience!! Last September, Senator Rick Santorum provided a lunch for us in one of the museum-like meeting rooms! Wow, that was amazing! I was gratefully impressed when he said Grace before we enjoyed the delicious sandwiches. https://youtu.be/9XkhhXc5d6k This year, I’ve added on another role of Block Walking (BW) Captain. BW is an effective strategy that’s fun and easy to do! It’s a great combination of exercising and sharing COS with people who’ve never heard of our organization. I was new to BW, but I have received nothing but support and encouragement from this team. I am looking forward to organizing and leading outings as often as possible.  COSU as well as Patriot Academy courses are excellent avenues for learning about our Constitution! Before joining COSA, I only knew how to spell Constitution! 🙃 So, I keep my Self-Governance Army Boots on, with a smile on my face! COS has enhanced my pride in being an American!! I love my fellow “COSers”!!! Rosemary is a fine example of the team of “Happy Warriors” we have here in the Commonwealth; join her and the others helping to spread the solution. Link to volunteer.  |
