COSA PA - Vets Organization Coalition Clears First Hurdle

As an update to an August post regarding current Veteran Organization coalition-building efforts, the PA state team is pleased to announce that an American Legion Resolution to officially support COS has passed the local Post phase. The Resolution was presented by COSA member and Post Service Officer Eric Goucher. The Resolution passed unanimously during the September Post 512 Officer Meeting in Beaver County.

This Resolution will now be forwarded to the American Legion District Commander for consideration. Assuming the Resolution is approved by District 26W, it would then advance to the PA State Department for a final floor vote.

The American Legion's State Adjutant for PA has assured Eric Goucher the vote can occur as early as January 2024 during the Department Executive Committee meeting in Pittsburgh. Approval would give PA its first Veterans Organization Coalition partner in the form of one of the largest such organizations in the country.
