Dr. Kevin Roberts, President of The Heritage Foundation, officially endorsed Convention of States in November 2023, urging states and fellow conservatives to support us in our mission to call the first-ever Article V convention. This landmark announcement follows closely on the heels of The Heritage Foundation, the nation’s leading conservative think tank, publishing a lengthy pro- COS memorandum , praising the grassroots initiative. “Washington, D.C. is fundamentally broken and it's past time we look outside the Swamp for answers,” Roberts stated in his endorsement. “Providentially, the Founding Fathers wrote Article V into the U.S. Constitution as a backstop to the tyrannical rule we see from the Federal Government today .” To read the full article click this link: 'Last best hope': Dr. Kevin Roberts, Heritage Foundation President, announces \\ groundbreaking endorsement - COSAction \\ (conventionofstates.com) Convention of States is honored to receive The Heritage Foundation’s full support and to welcome Kevin Roberts to our ever-growing list of endorsers. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. — John Adams Religion and morality are the essential pillars of civil society. - George Washington Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters. — Benjamin Franklin [F]or avoiding the extremes of despotism or anarchy . . . the only ground of hope must be on the morals of the people. I believe that religion is the only solid base of morals and that morals are the only possible support of free governments. [T]herefore education should teach the precepts of religion and the duties of man towards God.“ — Gouverneur Morris These are just a few quotes from some of our founders about religion and morality. Given our current climate, religion is either rejected outright (even viciously attacked), or it is seen as malapropos. But as our Founders made clear, we cannot function as a society without a religious or moral framework. It is becoming quite clear that we need to bring religion back into our society; religion ![]() Page 5 of 7 is the very thing that will heal our land from the treachery that has come upon it. We are in a moment of history when the souls of men are being tried like never before. We are at war against the greatest evil we’ve been acquainted with. Is it possible that the evil we face is not just from an unseen foe, but because of taking God out of our prayers, our pledges, and our families? In a world that has taken a colossal departure from God, morals, and religion, may I invite each of us to take on the mantle of a God-fearing and light- bearing people. Though religion has as much power to divide as it does to unite. Too often we see that people are divided over religious tenets. What one person holds to be true others find to be diametrically opposed to their own viewpoints. Many others say that God is dead or simply are satisfied with holding no religious belief. Furthermore, many of our societal ills have come from the pulpit. All it takes is for one pastor or preacher to declare something out of line with what the Bible says. Furthermore, all it takes is for the church to be silent in matters regarding politics. The issues of our time are hardly political, they are biblical. So let us remember whether we be Christians, Jews, or Muslim, no matter what denomination we profess, what theology we hold, we need to set aside our difference and through the protection of divine providence, remember our pledge to each other. It only takes righteous remnant, those who love and serve God first and foremost and bear His light, to usher in that new era we fervently seek after. The battle is not lost patriots, Hold the Line!
