Matt \\ \\ Schaefer has officially filed a bill in the Texas \\ legislature that would establish a Texas Border \\ Defense Unit to defend US citizens from \\ cartels and help end the humanitarian and \\ national security crisis on the southern border. \\ \\ Imagine the impact of Texas passing this \\ ground-breaking legislation. Think about if our \\ southern states step up and do what the \\ \\ federal government has failed to \\ \\ — \\ \\ **secure **\\ \\ **the border against an invasion of \\ dangerous cartels… **\\ \\ Cartels that are known to kidnap and \\ repeatedly rape eleven and twelve year old \\ girls, only to then sell them into a life of slavery. \\ \\ \\ **Not on our watch. \\ Not in our America. **\\ \\ \\ The road to victory won’t be easy. We had some great COS volunteers come out to
help us at the COS booth for this conference.  Our
participation in this conference was under the topic

Elected officials represent our community and our
interests, so let them know who you are and what
you care about!  Take time to introduce yourself
and your organization to public officials serving
your community

– including both federal and state

representatives.

Make an appointment and discuss:

1-   Their stance on Convention of States.
2-  What Bills they are working on that COS

could possibly get behind and support.

3-  Notify your District Captain, or Regional

Captain, or Legislative Liaison with the
results after contacting them.

What brought you to COS (Your Why):



I found out about COS from my daughter, who
lives in Pennsylvania and is more political than
I am.  I was really excited by the idea of
making a positive, constructive, and unifying
change, rather than just siding with a particular
political party and/or contributing to the
contention.

Inspirational thought:

  “A new commandment

I give unto you, That ye love one another, as I
have loved you”, John 13:34.
Also, “All you need is love.  But a little
chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” (Charles
Schultz)

More about You:

  I home school my 9-year-

old son who has autism, I have a bachelor's
degree in cultural anthropology, and I work for
the Cache County School District as a mentor
for Native American students in grades K-12.
