COS South Dakota Rally on Monday, January 27
| Convention of States South Dakota will hold a rally at the state capitol in Pierre on Monday, January 27, 2020. The event will bring to the forefront the need for a Convention of States under Article V of the U.S. Constitution. Citizens of South Dakota will rally to ask the state legislature to call for a convention. Already, 15 states have passed resolutions calling for a convention of states. Only 19 more states, including South Dakota, need to pass resolutions so an Article V convention can take place. The January 27 rally in Pierre will feature Tim Barton, the President of WallBuilders. Convention of States Co-Founder Mark Meckler will also address the rally, as well as Founding father Samuel Adams to support the cause of liberty and limited federal government. Come around 9:00 a.m. to get good parking, look around the capitol, and speak to your legislators. Then, help set up and serve lunch to legislators at noon. The rally will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the capitol rotunda. If you want term limits, a balanced budget, and limits on the power and scope of big government, then it's time to show up, stand up, and speak up.
