END WASHINGTON’S  OVERREACH Washington, D.C., will never voluntarily relinquish power. Article V of the Constitution offers the single best  remedy for the crisis our nation is facing. The most important thing you can do to be a part of the solution is to tell  your elected state legislators your position. Dear [State Representative], Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt, combined with  crushing regulations on states and businesses, is a recipe for disaster. I am proud that my state legislature has done its  part to implement the process the Founders gave us—Article V of the U.S. Constitution—to allow the states to act as a  final check on Washington, D.C., by proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. I support this approach, led by  the Convention of States Project, of calling an Article V Convention to propose only amendments that would impose  fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials. If you were one of the legislators who helped to pass this resolution in our state, thank you.
