COS Pennsylvania Volunteer News - Human Resources Coordinator
| A new and unique volunteer position has been added to the COSA PA state leadership team. Janet (Jan) Helms comes to our team as the Human Resources (HR) Director. Jan is a veteran and worked for the DoD for 30+ years; the majority of her time as a HR professional. Her short-range goals include employing varied strategies to increase the volunteer workforce. Longer-range goals include establishing a smoother transition for new volunteers by developing training guides to permit “newbies” to better succeed at working independently in our remote environment and mentorship programs to ensure better communication and working relationships with team leaders and members. Jan is currently working with the Coalitions Director, Al Shrader, as they start up new coalition teams with the goal of reaching out to like-minded patriots within various organizations, forming partnerships, and further advancing the COS mission and goals.
