COS Missouri Prayer Team - Volunteer Sign-up Page
| What does volunteering as a Missouri Prayer Team member involve? As a Prayer Team member, your personal information will be added to a shared Google document and will be accessible to all Missouri volunteers who, like you, have signed the Convention of States Non-Disclosure Agreement. This document will be used to track who is calling whom, etc. We hope to have at least 20 volunteers on this team and each one will call ten offices during one week of the 2023 Spring Legislative Session. The purpose of the call will be to introduce us, let the staff member know that we will be praying for the representative and his/her staff and to ask if there are any specific prayer requests. If we are fortunate enough to have more than 20 volunteers signing up then the weekly assignment can be shared. If a personal situation prevents you from completing the week assigned to you, we ask that you contact the lead Prayer Team volunteer. There will be a Google Spreadsheet with the name, office phone number and email for the representatives to be called each week. These calls will need to be made during office hours. We will also have a separate webpage which can be attached to all emails so that the representative or any member of his/her staff can submit a prayer request outside of the week we have designated for contacting them. These requests will be sent to the Lead Prayer Team member. Each Prayer Team volunteer will be added to the Missouri Slack workspace. This is a private and secure messaging system which is a hybrid of texting and emails systems.
