===== COS Resolution Passes House Committee  =====

The House Federal and State Affairs Committee recommended SCR1604 for adoption by the House on March 18. If the sponsors had the required 84 votes the resolution would have been taken to the House floor prior to adjournment on March 27. At this time we do not expect the House to take SCR1604 up for debate until next year.

SCR1604 passed every vote this year including a resounding 29-11 vote in the Senate; however, without a decision in the Thompson v. Masterson lawsuit it will take 84 votes to pass in the Kansas House.

===== Grassroots Action =====

Our mission is to build a strong, engaged army of self-governing activists. We still need volunteers to step up and help us in Kansas.

We continue to recruit leaders in many districts to help more Kansans understand Article V and the Founders' plan for the states to be a check on an ever-expanding national government. Click here to TAKE ACTION and check out the District Captain or other volunteer roles.

==== Neighborhood Meetings  ====

We are looking for opportunities to explain our mission to your friends and neighbors. Neighborhood meetings are a great way to expand support for COS. The Kansas Team is ready to help you host a meeting.  Learn about hosting a neighborhood meeting.

==== Wichita Sunflower Swap Meet  ====

Volunteers had no problem collecting petition signatures at the Sunflower Swap Meet in Wichita on March 8-9. Petitions are not a hard sell. Most Kansans support the idea of an amendment convention to wrestle control of our lives away from the politicians, bureaucrats and deep state in Washington. Nobody went to the Century II Arena to sign a petition but after a little engagement with our volunteers most people were more than ready to petition their legislators for the opportunity to see limited government come back.
