WHEREAS , Congress operates on a partisan basis over the best interests of the United States. WHEREAS , The growth of spending and debt attributed to the United States of America has accelerated to unsustainable levels. WHEREAS , The Congress has become increasingly incapable of operating within the limits of Article I of the Constitution of the United States of America. RESOLVED , by Post No. 272, The American Legion, Department of Iowa, in regular meeting assembled in Boyden, Iowa May 21, 2018, That The American Legion Department of Iowa shall support Convention of States Legislation for the purposes of imposing term limits, fiscal restraints, and federal overreach. |
