4th of July Parade Fun in Tomah Wisconsin
The Tomah, Wisconsin July 4th Parade was a lot of fun for Wisconsin Convention of States Volunteer Leaders.
| The Tomah, Wisconsin July 4th Parade was a lot of fun for Wisconsin Convention of States Volunteer Leaders. The weather was beautiful and served as a perfect back drop for American’s who are working to restore us to self-governance by growing the grassroots. Ernie Thackeray, District Captain – Tomah and Betty Stoltenberg, District Captain Team along with 10 Volunteer Leaders had fun on our 247th Independence Day.  To pull an event like this off requires a lot of organization. The Wisconsin Convention of States Team is grateful for the efforts made by the Tomah Chamber of Commerce. They organized the annual event. Huge kudos go out to Ernie Thackeray, COSA DC – Tomah, he built and paid for the float. Betty Stoltenberg, COSA DC Team purchased the candy. The COS Team distributed candy and approximately 500 Convention of States “Rack Cards”, the 1/3rd page glossy color cards, entitled “Washington is Broken”, “We Endorse a Convention of States, “We took the Oath” and “We are One”  Growing the grassroots is fun! Below are some fun facts about our Nations special day. Did you know? John Hancock, a merchant by trade, was the first to sign the Declaration of Independence. The oldest signer, at age 70, was Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania. There are 24 counties named Franklin in the United States. The youngest signer, at age 26, was Edward Rutledge of South Carolina. There are no counties named Rutledge. There are four counties named Liberty (Florida, Georgia, Montana, Texas) and 18 counties and one parish named Union.1 Wisconsin Convention of States is very grateful for all our Volunteer Leaders efforts!
