The extraordinary people of Convention of States Kansas

In order to hold our federal system accountable, they gave authority to the State legislatures to ratify necessary measures to bring us back to balanced power. Article V was NOT a mistake. It was deliberate.” Patrick Penn HD 85 and Eric Smith HD 76 both were commissioners at the Simulated convention and gave detailed information about the process of the convention. From the beginning Eric Smith was instrumental in organizing the grassroots of Convention of States in Kansas. Eric went on to serve in the Kansas House of Representatives from 2017-2024. While in the Kansas Legislature he participated in the COS Simulated Convention. Today, Eric is the Undersheriff for Coffey County, KS. Coffey County was the first Kansas County to approve a resolution asking the state of Kansas to pass the Convention of States application. Eric Smith is one of the extraordinary people behind Convention of States Kansas. ==== |
